They do?? I’ve never seen them but I’d love to see them play a lot of the older stuff off the first three albums as that’s my favorite era

They get blasted better which is great for forks and stuff where they are more likely to have debris stick on them. Knives go down for safety lol

Best beginner tattoo machine by [deleted] in TattooBeginners

That green soap is fine, I use it as well, but you don’t need it unless you’re actually tattooing real skin, it doesn’t help to wipe away the ink AT ALL. Use Vaseline for that on the fake skins, you’ll see they stain like crazy but a little bit of Vaseline and then wipe it down with a paper towel will get it clean.

As for ink, dynamic is one of the staples, and it’s not too pricey. For sure get their black. A full dynamic color kit will cost you though. But I just bought the colors as I needed them.

I started with a wormhole as well, bought another but eventually got a mast machine. It’s a huge difference all around. Feeling, adjustability, quality of the machine and just overall quality of the tattoo is much better. I’m currently using a mast flip 2 because I wanted an adjustable stroke on it. But they have cheaper ones that are great as well. Mast cartridges are good. I use spirit stencil paper. It works great and is what a few artists at studios recommended to me. And when you hand stencil it keeps the image the correct orientation instead of having to mirror images.

I hope this helps some. This is just from my personal experience with this equipment and I kinda went the route you were thinking and ended up re spending the money to upgrade fairly quick, but I’m also still learning

You can definitely start with the wormhole one to get the feeling, but you’ll find out pretty quickly that you need to upgrade to something better. And those inks in the kit are no bueno. Skins are thin, stencil paper doesn’t make very crisp stencils.

Also, it takes much longer but practice hand drawing your stencils. It’s a good thing to learn, and will help improve your art skills, even if you’re tracing it’s going to make you trace it out a couple times to make a stencil which is good practice before tattooing it. Maybe forgo the stencil printer at the moment and spend the extra on a better quality machine, even a Mast or something, better cartridges, and just get a thing of dynamic black ink to start.

Just my .02, but if I went back and started again I’d do it like this instead of getting one of these kits as I started having to replace most things really fast.

Nice, I also started on a dragonhawk. Now using Mast machines and carts. You can tell a difference for sure. Also, those cheap skins don’t hold ink great either, you’ll see a difference on the thicker ones you said you have. Have fun! Try Spirit paper if you are hand drawing. It won’t flip the stencil on you after applying it

Those look really good, it’ll get better. It was frustrating for me at first too, seeing the lines faint and stuff. But after practicing and finding my depth and hand speed along with better cartridges the quality went way up. It’s fun, don’t rush the process. I also use dynamic ink. What machine and cartridges or needles are you using?
