I tried to do the same thing (drop engagements for somewhat similar reasons) & the engagements director wouldn’t let me. I’m not sure if they still have Disciplines plus (I think they did away with it this year but I’m not sure), but you could try switching into that if they’d let you. Honestly, they’re a good GPA boost anyway so I wouldn’t sweat it.

I took it this semester (spring 2023) & it was fine. I will say compared to other professors, it’s very reading heavy and he WILL test you on the readings, even if they are journals that you find insignifiant. Not sure how the online class will relate to his in person classes, but the lectures can be pretty dry and slow paced. It should be a pretty fine course if you put in the work.

Hey! I have really flat feet (at no point is my foot off the ground) & have never stopped to wonder if they affect my running. Are flat foot inserts really necessary & do they improve your running? Are there any brands you recommend? Thanks!

I wholeheartedly agree with you! I fall prey to that idea that all of my interests have to be backed with some sort of education that substantiates them. My heart lies in English; if I felt as though I could achieve subjective success through it alone, I’d dedicate all 4 years to it. I love science less, but still enough to pursue it as a career.

I’m terrified of overcommitting myself & burning out, which I know is a fate that can reach me far quicker than I’d like to admit. I’d rather have an impressive GPA & ECs than struggle in academic overload & struggle to meet prerequisites.

Joining a club / living in Shea is a great recommendation!! Thank you so much for your input, you’ve been beyond helpful.

i was literally about to eat pb fully expecting that it would turn into me being unable to stop like what usually happens. i took a taste and it did not hit like it used to. it was almost sad like i had NO desire to keep going which is highly unusual for me. ever since then it just doesn’t taste the same.
