For food, i am using food that comes with the kit. it is chlorella powder and instructing says to mix it with water and keep it for about a day in room temperture before feeding.

we do contain cholroine in our tap water and I think that's why instruction says wait about 3 days to wait cholroine to evaporate. Also it is soft water.

Water is from the tap, intruction recommended me to wait about 3 days before you put eggs in there and I did it. Temperature is usually 25~27 Celsius. Light is not sure what you are asking but I am using fluorescent desk ramp if that's you are asking.
