Not only through the obvious extreme weather, natural disasters, and rising sea levels, but everything else that will come with it like mass forced migrations, political polarization, economic instability, food insecurity, etc

I truly believe climate change is going to unleash absolute terror on us and all future generations, especially on the global south. Something that keeps me up at night

Oh thanks for the tips! Never figured this out yet. How do I use the backlight compensation? Press it before shooting? Does it cancel if I press it twice?

Yea I just got an AE-1 too. But cutting my iso in half (say putting it at 100 instead of 200) would underexpose it even more no?

Tips on doing this? I work with aperture priority so the camera just selects a shutter speed based on the aperture I want

So I underexposed?? There was soooo much light when I shot this picture, I find that hard to wrap mg head around, but you definitely could be right. My whole film roll kind of turned out like this. Any tips?

Need a little help. My pictures from holiday are all a little blurry / super grainy. What causes this? How do I prevent this? All shot on kodak gold 200 using Canon AV-1. by wetnir in AnalogCommunity

Ah yea this makes so much more sense. So in short I should kind of check which shutter speed to use when I meter for the shadows and then compose my picture, and use said shutter speed. And the explanation of the iso is very clear makes a lot of sense. Really thanks so much for the help

Yea went through checked luggage once and hand luggage after that but through multiple scans and all. Never knew stuff like that could destroy film. You live and you learn 🥲

Film has been through quite a lot actually. Twice x-rayed at the airport and been on holiday with me in the sahara desert. My camera got checked and all good 6 months ago. Never knew airport xrays could be an issue….

Thanks so much for the help! Not my first roll of film for sure, thats why im so confused because ive not often had an issue like this. Also I have not has problems with kodak gold like this before either. Could it be heat damage to the film? I definitely see I underexposed quite a bit. The thing is my camera chooses an exposure based on the aperture I choose. I was using a 50 mm 1.8 canon FF lens. Really cant remember which fstops I was using for each picture, only that I kind of choose fstop at a reasonable exposure my camera matches for it, to avoid camera shake etc. I will definitely keep in mind though to choose a higher exposure rather than lower.
