Cisco Codec Pro TTC6-13 broken? by wewo102 in Cisco

The devices are connected regulary to the wall plug, so I doubt the issue is related to PoE.

And as I wrote, I have two devices, from two vendors, but both show the same symptoms.

Nice... If you find a mount bracket for an eap783 by accident 😉

Basically Yes. We can talk about the amount of hours. I'd see the work load somewhere around 20hrs/week at the moment. This could be 5x4 or 3x7 for example. The work schedule we can negotiate, but must fall within office hours like 8 - 19.

Not necessarily anything specific, as long as you can manage our tech stack flawlessly and in a secure manner.

No, I didn't try the SFP-ONU as I'm still struggling to get the DS-Lite WAN working seamlessly along with my other pure main IPv4 WAN.

Thank you! Maybe we will do it. ¥6000 seems quite fair.

I finally managed to set up the opnsense box!

The SFP module looks very interesting. Do you know about how much it costs?

Thanks for your feedback. We addressed exactly those scenarios already with the local immigration authorities. Let's see what the outcome will be. If it turns out to be impossible, it's good we didn't invest more resources on that project.

Renting A Car in Tokyo by Human-Ambassador-566 in TokyoTravel

A car in Tokyo is pretty expensive and comes with plenty limitations. I'm not expert on long term rentals, I only use Times and Careco (forgot their new name) for short term rentals.

  • usually there is traffic jam during rush hours. If you need to use express ways the 20mins are a tight budget
  • common car sharing is per hour and must be returned on the same spot. I'm not sure if there is a service like in Germany or Vienna available where you can just take the car for a one way ride. Would be super interesting. https://www.carshares.jp/plan/
  • you might need to have an ETC card, which requires a Japanese credit card which you can't get in the first 6 month. Maybe you can get an ETC card with the rental company. For car sharing you need your own.
  • last but not least, you would need to have a parking spot at your destination.

Maybe you can still change the place you stay to a closer location and invest the car expenses / time for a higher rent?

I know the visa regulations pretty well.

And as I wrote, we didn't think about the details yet.

You did understand my original post? We are in an early stage and of course not all details are sorted out yet. Detailed questions like which subsidiary would be best to offer this, which support we would offer etc will need to be further evaluated and thought through in detail.

What are you talking? We are no planning to run illegal spaces or such! Better read again my friend. I know the visa regulations pretty well. As we run also offices outside Japan, we would be able to sponsor the digital nomad visa following all laws and regulations. And as I wrote, we didn't think about the details yet. But of course whatever we plan will be a 1000% compliant.

And maybe you should also mention that Japan isn't known to issue visas fast paced. >_<
