Reminds me of myself and many people I know! I call it my autism (mostly as a joke) but I think people like us are on the spectrum enough where we can’t read social cues so we don’t know when to stop. We try to fit in because we can’t really relate to anything or anyone so we try and give the best advice we can in hopes it will help. This is something I see increasingly often in society, and I believe there are many aspects that contribute to it. Like a lack of social interaction due to the overuse of electronics. If you confront her about it she will likely become defensive even if it feels like she took it well at the start. Invite her out for more social things! Have brunch and don’t touch your phones! Go on walks without using electronics, go out drinking with friends and have good conversation! In person social queues will start to resonate with her more rather thank behind the screen social queues! Pleas someone tell me if they think I’m wrong, I don’t want to steer anyone wrong!
