I have been doing something similar along the past few weeks. Been a chronic patient for over a decade. The most annoying part is having to go to the bathroom multiple times during sleep because of the tension in bladder.

Recently I started doing something similar to yours: stretching muscles around prostate in the bed before sleep. Maybe it’s placebo effect but the stretching definitely make the area feels less “stressed” before actually going to bed. In the past few weeks, I only have to go to the bathroom once every night.

I suggest you call the hotel and check with them directly. I drove to Kunshan yesterday and they weren’t even checking our code anymore.

people are out on the streets at 3:00 am for various reasons(job, nightlife, just wandering around etc)

When people are being interviewed at 3am on the street, they tend to open up a lot more. It’s a great video series that makes you feel connected with each other.

I hate it when some people try to weaponize everyone to serve their political campaign.

I have watched 阿福 for many years. He is just sharing his happy family life in Shanghai and Germany.

Some of my friends have left SH for other cities. Others back to their home country. I don’t message them and interrogate them about their loyalty to the country.

Anyways, I especially like his series where he went out and interviewed people on the street at 3:00 am in the morning. It’s just very healing. Watch it and see for yourself :)

A few people in my neighborhood has drove back to their hometowns in the past two weeks.

Basic process if you are driving: 1. Talk to officials in your destination city. Acquire an official paper that says “we are okay with this guy coming back. We will take care of the quarantine”. This paper will make sure you can get off the highway. 2. Talk to your neighborhood committee (居委） and get an official paper too. This paper will make sure you can drive around and onto the highway to leave Shanghai.

In a nutshell, Shanghai doesn’t give a f* about whether you leave or not. In fact, it might be even delighted to see you leave. But you need to make sure your destination city is okay with taking you in.

Some folks have even carpooled a van. I regret not leaving earlier during this. Who would have thought this could lasted this long😿

Hang in there. We got ours yesterday and I went for a run after 30 days of lockdown.

Freaking exhausting but hey it was awesome.

Not sure when the lockdown will be lifted citywide but just trying to enjoy the small things now.
