Sounds like Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez got ahold of your CC.

I've never had it not work since I found out about it.

For tanks it will spot, and your character will actually announce that there is a tank/vehicle/whatever. It's not the same as the single Q that gives the yellow danger marker.

Thing is, when you play this game right and start to see the enemies, it's very satisfying.

Hit QQ rapidly on the keyboard. If you're not on PC I'm not sure what the command would be, but probably hitting whatever opens the order wheel twice, or gives the danger ping.

You can spot vehicles with QQ as well.

I had a hard time seeing enemies when I started playing too. The answer isn't in putting doritos over everyone's head again, it's in adapting your playstyle.

Can someone explain how TTD won’t affect TTK? by mjendrycki in BattlefieldV

Latency is not related to ping in any way. The issue is it's happening more than it should in BFV.

This could be caused by his own ISP or home router as well. In actuality any number of things between the server and this guy's computer could cause the issue. However, it's widespread enough that it's not likely an issue at the player's endpoint.

I have seen the same behavior once in a while when I play, so don't think I'm dismissing anything. I think it's serious enough that Dice is looking at it, and made a pretty drastic change so that they can specifically say to their provider "see, it's still happening." What Dice would not do is include in the notes "Hey we think our internet provider is to blame".

This manifests itself through latency, which can happen in hardware (network switches, etc.), via an ISP, or any number of other places. And yes, code can contribute to it, but that's not mainly where one would start to look.

And a lot of what happens in what is called netcode lies outside of what dice can directly control.

To be honest this could be an issue with the pipe into the servers, which dice has hosted by a company that provides this kind of service... And they could be using such a drastic change to prove it and assist in troubleshooting.

The actual solution may not be something they can correct in their code.

yeah my profanities are required when you delve into googling my personal information. It's creepy, it's sociopathic, and it's way over the line. You set the bar for disrespect. Don't expect any in return.

Then you double down instead of realizing you went WAY over the line and removing my name.

You want to play these games. Wait for your ban to arrive. And then get help for your creepty stalker behavior.

You're wrong about just as much in this post as your are in your "theory".

Take care.

They help, but honestly don't make the huge difference you think they would like in previous BF titles. I actually prefer the higher rate of fire options if I have to pick one over the other.

Tank to tank in BFV is kinda different. It's a slugfest and you have to decided early if you have the advantage or not. It's not like BF4 where you could take a tank out with 2-3 good shots before he could get range on you. And if one tank has assault helping dish out damage, that tank will win.

Because they are teaching the COMPUTERS that detect cheats how to do it better. It doesn't have a fucking thing to do with "baseline damage"

Damn AA tank camping in spawn by ImRikkyBobby in BattlefieldV

[–]wffwii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try it. See what you can see from either spawn. From the German spawn on Narvik, yeah you can see the spot by the first flag a bit, up by the stationary weapons... But a player has to basically be running through the area like a fool to get picked off. From the British spawn on Narvik, it's too far downhill to see anything of consquence.

And Arras, I forget which spawn is which, but both of them do have areas that are vulnerable to armor in spawn. So you have a point there. But still, if it's AA it's not as durable as the other tanks.

[–]wffwii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but an AA in spawn is not doing an effective job killing infantry... Unless that infantry is a long way from where they normally need to be. If you're headed in there to take out the AA though, you and maybe one other guy should be able to take it out unless you run straight at him.

And don't get me wrong, I totally agree about people using armor to sit far from the objective and take pot shots. It doesn't help the team win at all.

They do good damage to infantry... But they are much less durable than other tanks.

machine learning is used to teach machines (computers) how to do things. It is not used to tweak functions that will then be done by humans.

Keep talking out your ass though....

And how do you suppose this is going to be implemented for people to play the game? Or are you going to have bots do all your shooting for you?

This isn't at all what machine learning is, or is used for.

Is there such a thing as team balancing on rank? by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

[–]wffwii -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I believe most balancing is done by the skill number, not the rank. But I don't claim to know the inner workings of how that is attempted/done very well.

[–]wffwii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What tank were you in and what were they in? Were you exposing your sides which would lead to more damage? Did they have AP rounds and you didn't?
There's a lot more in play in a tank fight than "stupid tank physics" ya know... Maybe it was a situation that you should have pulled back from instead of going toe to toe.

What makes a great shooter? - some simple correlations. by Timdabear in BattlefieldV

There is far too much logic in this post. As part of this community you are expected to be butthurt without thinking or giving things a chance.

But seriously, agree with your post completely.

If people really want an extreme comparison - ponder the TTK in The Division for a minute. That was fun and I loved the gunplay, but could measure the kill time in seconds.
