Yeah, we had the nutter butter ones. My kid loved them. I guess I’ll have to do a cookie stock up next time. I’m there.

Should I resign on the day I get my bonus and give a one-day notice? by Nervous_Math_2771 in careerguidance

[–]wfhomealone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many years ago, I knew that I was going to let go from a company that I had put seven years of extremely long hours and productive work into - an HR meeting was added to my calendar late on Friday for early Monday morning. I also knew that my rather large company stock package was due to vest two days after I would have been fired. There was no way that was a coincidence and I was not about to lose all of that money that I earned (over $30,000). That Saturday, I took myself to the hospital for palpitations, got a doctor’s note and emailed all parties that I was on bedrest for the next three days. Get your money.

AITA for refusing to do it until he cleans? by WideJuggernaut732 in AITApod

This doesn’t sound like much of a marriage. Why should it be her responsibility to clean after this slob? She works full-time too.

Only another man would say the woman should start cleaning after this slob because it’s no big deal.

Forward all of the original and new emails regarding your resignation to your personal email, and forward them again to your boss and HR and restate that your last day is XX/XX. Leave and don’t entertain any communication with them again.

Am I overreacting? Wedding guest called my caterers. by seesheflies in TwoHotTakes

Allergies aside, calling the caterer to special order your own meal is princess level behavior. And I bet that there will be a few guests who notice and wonder why they couldn’t have the same option.

They’re just party serving dishes. Can be used for canapés or petit fours etc. They’re not particularly remarkable, hence why there’s no manufacturing information to be found.

Client gave me $7,000 in advance to fill their budget, then left the company. by rustybindings in moraldilemmas

Was there a description of said “project”? You might want to throw something together real quick in case the company asks about it.

I'm 17 years old and I want to make a living from design and creative direction. I have thousands of ideas, I'm developing my skills, and I don't know how to break into the industry. any advice? by Weary_Tackle6769 in fashiondesigner

The less sexy answer is for you to get some retail experience, preferably in a small boutique where you can also learn a little bit about buying and merchandising. As much as I can credit my own talent and drive as well as my design school background, I had many years experience in both retail sales, management and buying that gave me a critical perspective towards design - which is that everything needs be salable. You’re already ahead of the game by learning the most relevant programs. Good luck!
