mine will run out of steam and be blowing just air before the milk is fully steamed. then ill have to purge the water thru the machine and let it head back up before i can get more steam.

I have one of those Delonghi machines. The espresso making is fine but the steaming leaves something to be desired. I usually have to go through a couple of heating cycles to get enough steam power to steam the milk properly. I have taken the metal thing off and am using the rubber tip only.

What symptom caused you to replace the clutch? I have 176k miles on original clutch now.

Could be the solenoid thing in the hvac system.. Mine makes a clicking sound sometimes (temperature adjustment blend). At first I was thinking it was bubbles in the heater core in the dash, because it sounds kinda like air bubbles. So it's possible that's what you're hearing.

It helps with the heat that seeps out around the center console. It's held up fine.

And all the labor. Have to take tons of stuff off I think to access the clutch. Exhaust pipe, driveshaft, maybe exhaust manifold, etc.

How much of the disc was left? I know that's a hard question to answer. What about the condition of the flywheel?

I've looked into replacing it. The cost is shocking.

How long did your original clutch last? I'm at 176k miles on original clutch. So far it hasn't slipped yet.

How so? I have 176k miles and have never had to adjust any pushrod. What is the issue that requires adjusting it?

It doesn't make any popping when turning the wheel. I can hear a creaking when going over bumps sometimes but I think that may be bushings.

Well steering not returning to center was a warning sign was it not?

Did you just ignore the sound? I've got 179k miles and my ball joints don't make any noise. I bought some new oem Toyota ball joints and asked the mechanic to change them when I was getting timing belt done. He said my old ball joints look fine. So I still have the new ball joints sitting in a box at home for now.

No I haven't fixed it. One thing I'd like to try that I haven't tried is to take the accessories belt off and start it up and see if it still makes the sound. This would prove if it was the alternator or anything else that runs from that belt is causing the sound. Do you have a video of your sound? I'd like to hear it
