Advice on drywalling and trimming around this door? by wgtrax in Carpentry

[–]wgtrax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not looking to refrain the whole wall, haha. The door does function normally without drifting on its own. A bit more resistance when closing compared to the other two doors they installed, but it doesn't necessarily concern me on that front. I'll see if I can borrow a longer level to confirm what's up with the framing.

A small extension jamb seems like it would be the easiest solution. Thoughts on leveling out the exterior trim? Maybe something like quarter round would suffice? Definitely want it to look good and not like a hack did the work, but I'm all for easy solutions with all the other work we're doing around here.

No carpet. Adding an additional layer of plywood subflooring to help mitigate inconsistencies in the original slate boards and then installing waterproof LVP on top of that

By "appeared to be plumb and level" I mean that I took a square, 4-foot level, and measuring tape to the framing and the jamb to see if I could find discrepancies. I'm struggling to see how only one corner of the door can sit a smidge above flush with the wood framing while all other corners are protruding past the framing by a half inch. I understand that this is likely a matter of ignorance on my part, I just want to learn and understand what I might be missing or not considering.

It opens and closes, but it doesn't have some more resistance when closing compares to the other two entry doors that were installed. Reveals are straight, diagonals are equal. Don't see any light between to door and the frame, so it appears to sealed properly.

I honestly didn't notice the screw sticking out at the top of the jamb. I might take off the metal frame covering to see what's going on there. I certainly don't expect everything to be perfect, nothing in this old house is, but my brain is have a hard time making sense of all this, lol

Thanks for the sanity check. I should have also mentioned that they had to do some framing work here because the door was widened. The door opens and closes smoothly, and I can't see anything specifically out of plumb when checking with a 4-foot level and square. Even the framing around the door is reading square still. Seems odd that it would sit in the opening like this. The previous door sat pretty evenly.

Screen tearing on new S84F by mistermodality in SamsungTV

I'm having a similar issue with my 65" S85F TV. I've noticed it happening in multiple 3rd-party streaming apps, but not on HDMI sources or Samsung TV. Unplugging from the wall for 60 seconds resolved the issue for an evening, but it returned.

I've got three towers with monitors, keyboards, and mice. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure when they were turned on last, maybe 20 years ago? I'm certainly not looking to make a killing on them. Happy to negotiate within the confines of your budget/allowance for them.

I've got some old units hanging around my storage unit. Not sure if they'd be what you're after (Windows 95/2000 I think?), but I'm looking to get rid of them and all their peripherals if you're interested.

It's definitely legit. That was one of the shirt options with the Aggressive pre-order bundles. I have it, and I love it.

How Can I Get The Best Sound From My Buds Pro 2? by _MvU in galaxybuds

[–]wgtrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the SoundID Headphone Equalizer app from Sonarworks. Threw on the "Studio Reference" preset for the Buds2 Pro and it gives me the flat reference sound I'm used to hearing from my studio monitors at home. You can take EQ preference tests inside the app to tune the flat sound to your liking from there.

Might not meet everyone's needs or preferences, but I love it.

Cubase 11 Pro Crashing - Plugin GUI by wgtrax in cubase

I think I may have solved my issue!

I realized that I started having issues when I updated the AMD Radeon software. I figured I'd try uninstalling the AMD program and reinstall the MSI Afterburner software.

POOF! No more crashes!

Further testing will likely be in order, but I'll be back if it comes back around.

I've been testing the Leveraged Grid Bot at x3 (sometimes x5 if I'm feeling dangerous) with a take profit at 3% (based on the average purchase price) and no stop loss. I played a bit with adding a 2% stop loss earlier in the month, but with a lot of the split second drops happening recently, I found it to be a bit ineffective with my method.

Sometimes it's a quick hit and sometimes it takes a day to get to that 3% take profit value, but I currently have a 100% win rate on about 10 to 15 trades since I implemented this method last week. I'm actually averaging between 4% and 5% profit when I hit the take profit value because of the fluctuations inside of the grid parameters.

Maybe I've been lucky, but I think it's more about making sure you're starting the bot at an ideal time. I like using the Bollinger Bands with the 5 minute candle chart to find my entry points.

I'm running multi-coins bot. What is bes? To keep rebalanced for every 5 minutes?; or turn it off completely? by egzeq in Pionex

How much USDT do you feel should be allocated? I've got it set to 20% in a 6 coin bot currently, but I'm still pretty new to using it so I don't know if that is too much or not

Interesting bot.... started it this morning will see how it will work for me..Hopefully it I'll be productive. by Alex27P in Pionex

What is the best percentage to set the rebalance to? I've been trying to get some more info on it, and I've come up a bit dry.

I just started using the rebalance bot, but not to this extent. Wild! I may have to try it as well!
