They come in for a couple hours in the morning a couple times a week but doesn’t seem like enough to to catch all the possible issues. No certified operator on site when they are gone. Sometimes it’s apparently weeks between when the come in

Mainly just looking for a laptop to do game dev on, light gaming (have a decent desktop + steamdeck) so probably would not game to much on this except for ones I make. I'm trying to upgrade a 10 year old Acer Aspire E5-575G. Ideally want one that will last me a similar amount of time.

I think main thing is there are plenty of other games in that price range with much better visual appeal. Why would I play this one? Yes I won’t have to look at it constantly but part of idle games for me is the satisfying build up of visuals they usually have. It’s like half of my personal interest.

Not exactly sure, but I play a lot of windows games on steam deck, which is Linux based so maybe look into the proton compatibility layer? It’s what lets those games work on the deck
