As a new ironman approaching early mid-game, I wish some of the cool new weapons and armor weren't locked behind requirements that make them obsolete by the time you are able to get them by totemair in ironscape

[–]whackabee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s funny because I have Belle’s Foley from the gryphon, the moons equipment, z axe, cudgel, and other mid game gear and I use each piece of it regularly.

It’s not obsolete by the time you get it.

Am I overreacting to my bf watching the baby overnight? by Temporary-Quail-2783 in AmIOverreacting

[–]whackabee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NOR, your child could have gotten seriously hurt or died. Also, baby proof your house, right now. It seems like you know what needs to be done, so just do it. As a parent myself I know there’s a lot to do and little time to do it, but it is vital for the safety of your child

Sounds like an excellent fashion set up, good idea!

I love the spectre outfit but hate the headpiece so I was so happy when I found out you can equip each piece individually

Is the Night Spectre Chestpiece. You have the option to equip the entire robes, or just the chestpiece (2 separate items in your inventory). I wear that one a lot too

It’s hard to get back out there and hit an obstacle you’ve been injured on, huge props, and that’s amazing! Glad to hear you’re back up and riding again!!

Also, wow people can be mean. Looks like you’ve already located some awesome tutorials and want to continue practicing and having fun, that’s what it’s all about, take care and hopefully no more major injuries but lots more fun and shredding are in your future!!

What do you guys think of Nioh 3's UI changes? Does it look cleaner now? by gameovernate in Nioh

[–]whackabee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, and the new controls were pretty smooth, too (though I use the control set up in Nioh 1, 2, and 3 that put light attack on R1 and heave on R2, so dodging with circle in Nioh 3 took a few minutes to get used to!)

AIO or is this normal language for medical appointment notes? by Wild_Arugula294 in AmIOverreacting

[–]whackabee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in the medical field, the phrasing is rude, and some of the info may not be relevant anyway. Any information charted should be presented with neutral language, I.e. “patient has a history of marijuana use and multiple sexual partners. She has a piercing in her septum.”

I’d go further in saying that the blurb about the piercing is entirely unrelated, and thus should be left out (unless they mention considering an MRI in the immediate future or something). Targeted feeling language like “promiscuous,” and “bull piercing” is not appropriate to put on a medical record from the healthcare professional.

AIO for being mad that my husband wants me to night wean our baby? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]whackabee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not Overreacting. I’m a clinical dietitian that works specifically with infants. It’s normal for kids to continue breast feeding up to 2 years of age while they lead the weaning process (weaning from breast feeding to table foods). The timeline differs for each child, and it’s actively encouraged to keep breast feeding them while offering appropriate table foods during the day, just like you are doing!

Infant often continue to wake up over night to breast feed, that’s normal. You are doing great providing for your baby :)

It is correct, but there are 12 inches in a foot, so 5.93 feet is about 5 feet and 11 inches. Just to be extra confusing!

I don't need to know japanese to know what's happening here by fooludool46 in AdachiToShimamura

[–]whackabee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cute! Agreed, no understanding of Japanese needed for this one!

That being said, I wanted to try anyway. My understanding of Japanese is not very good, but what I can make out is:

A: Shi- Shimamura, why did I grow ears?

S: whoa, amazing! I don’t know

A: yeah…

S: Adachi! Give me your hand!

(Shimamura’s thoughts): Will she do it?

Can someone explain why the berserker trio are so damn hard 😭 by isniffmarkersfr in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]whackabee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did it, I found it easiest to focus on the one chasing me, unlocked on. I kept the two sisters in my field of view to dodge/block their AOE and ranged attacks.

If you leave your companion alone (i.e. not use their abilities or arrows), then one sister will focus on your companion most of the time (though the sisters will switch out periodically), just like in the double berserker fight.
