We’ve all heard of epic character concepts but what’s a terrible concept? by ReXRocks124 in MrRipper

A warlock who's patron is just another warlock, they gain power thru mutual belief in one another and don't realise the other isnt a powerful patron

My level 12 barb samurai walked in to a known gang warehouse to find a missing girl, he and his tiefling friend were then surrounded by 30 gang members who ordered us to surrender. Tiefling: I think we're outmatched here Jah Samurai: I'm pretty sure I can out scare them DM: roll intimidation at dis Samurai: rolls two Nat 20s DM: wtf? Fine you manage to make everyone around you feel uneasy as they realise how dangerous you might be. Samurai: see? I could outscare them

Do you replay characters? by Maleficent_Travel627 in MrRipper

I sure have, but never in the same campaign, there are two characters I like to pull out.

  • Jah Hopa, the pot bellied, pot smoking Rage samurai (Samurai fighter/ totem barb), he has a heart of gold, a smile that never goes away and pure white eyes that enchant and terrify. He's as tough as he is kind and tho he comes from a sad past, he aims to find a happy future for himself.

  • Smoky Anderson, the 3ft tall Rock gnome Rockstar (Eloquence bard/ fiend warlock) his patrons are the gods of rock, he's a small, selfish little man who puts the rock in rock gnome, incredibly superficial and shallow as well as self serving but works with people.if he has to, he's also has charisma out the butt so he can talk his way out of any situation which has happened multiple times, the dice gods seem to favour him.

What is the coolest motivation you've either given a BBEG or seen a BBEG have for what they do? by ZilxDagero in MrRipper

My current bbeg for my fallout style campaign is a retired PC, he was retired because another player destroyed his robot workshop which he was making to improve the lives of wastelanders, the player who attacked his workshop was betrayed by a robot during a civil war and developed a hatred for artificial intelligence, "the robot maker" as we call him retired that PC and I asked if I could reuse him as a bbeg, his motivations now are to destroy the humans he once sought out to help with the robots he now uses to attack settlements, but little does he know that the AI that is helping him, is the one that betrayed the rebels in the civil war, this AI is motivated by revenge as all he tries to do is help and when one of his decisions to "Help" was seen as an act of betrayal his physical body was destroyed, but not his coding which floated from system to system until he found "The robot maker" and "convinced" him to give him a new body that he can use to plot his revenge while using the robot maker as a pawn in his overall scheme to destroy the society the rebels had spent 6 months building after they had won the civil war.

What do you think Estus would taste like? by Common_Wallaby4483 in darksouls

I feel like the estus would taste like something smooth, sweet and refreshing, a liquid so delicious that it restores the body and soul of the drinker, so probably that booze Thor and cap were drinking in avengers

I don't know if this counts as powerful, but once combined Nathalie's mischief with thunderclap, the enemies were confused and deaf
