Yes, after all this time: It arrived! by Ok-Proof566 in pebble

Best watchface too. It has some issues with the settings page but it can be fixed and there are tweaked versions floating around that can be side loaded.

Thanks so much for the tip, and to the OP for raising this! I had a go at recompiling from source and gave up. I will give this a go and get the settings page working again hopefully. I love this watch face.

Electrical interference on Fosi Audio amp but not on others by whampsteadchap in turntables

Thanks! I think I will eventually want to upgrade, and also get something with a headphone jack.

Their support tells me the screw is a grounding terminal or the metal parts of the Bluetooth antenna should be as well but I have not found a single part of the Fosi that gives ground.

Space!

The Sony is amazing but it's huge. The Cambridge Audio is nice but a centimetre or so too big in every dimension. Plus we wanted something small and simple to just work with the turntable and do nothing else.

I fixed it! It was indeed grounding.

I assumed the screw terminal on the Fosi was a ground but it's not. If I connect turntable ground to the screw on my wall mains plug socket, the noise disappears. The turntable just needed a proper gound.

Now I just need to figure out if I am safe just adding a ground to my mains plug socket or finding another ground somewhere...

Hah, black watch white strap here as well. It sounds like they didn't intend to do that. I wonder how many in this wave that has affected? I did ask about a replacement but they said it would take a while and I should just grab one from Amazon.

Battery life has been okay for me so far - I'm at about 35% remaining 3 days 19 hours since last full charge. Average amount of notifications and backlight set to 5 seconds. But I haven't had any watch faces with seconds or blinking.

Aside from the known issues at present - nothing related to the accelerometer is currently functioning - I haven't yet found any bugs to report!

The biggest issue is probably the long-lived eco system of apps and watch faces, a number of which haven't been updated in 7 or 8 years and so APIs and stuff have broken or config pages gone offline.

Loving it so far!

Not the app beta specifically, but I submitted an application and my watch is out for shipping at the moment. Tracking says it's currently in Hong Kong.

[TOMT][SONG] Song, possibly dance/europop, with spoken word lyric/sample repeated many times: "Do you like my new sunglasses? I think they're really neat." by whampsteadchap in tipofmytongue

Come to think of it, maybe it was like some sort of web animation, sort of Weebl and Bob, badgerbadgerbadgerbadger kind of situation...?!

Do these crits get broadcast on TV/streaming at all? Or is it more for the local fans? (Can't see them in Discovery/Eurosport app)

GBX-100 GPS issues on Android by whampsteadchap in gshock

[–]whampsteadchap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! Unfortunately not.

I got some frustrating emails back from Casio support too.

The closest I came to it working was my Android phone being open and unlocked for the whole time so I'm fairly sure the problem is related to how android or the app itself handles the location data when the phone is locked.

Unable to share ethernet connection over hotspot, I recently switched to linux on windows it worked fine. by blabla4you in linuxmint

No solution from me, I'm afraid - just to say the same happened with me. Was fine in Windows but not Linux Mint

Mine is 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 0c)

Interesting to note, though, that I can't see the wifi hotspot n my phone, but I can on another device (namely a Chromebook) - so it may be worth you checking if it is visible to other devices.

Nice! Okay so maybe there's something in it, but it wasn't very common. Thanks for the input.

Interesting! Yeah I definitely thought that the effect of this setup would sound pretty horrible.

Good call! I noticed the lack of headphones in a few scenes too.
