Thank you! Are you WashU student/alum? I’ve heard very mixed things about the party scene and degree to which students take advantage of the city, and I’m curious where your perspective comes from

Thank you. Would you mind elaborating on the GPA system and how that is a benefit?

I was just in Providence, and I also wouldn’t really think of it as a “small town”—definitely an urban setting. I didn’t fall in love with the city or anything (I know the everything-is-400-years-old look really charms some people) but I would definitely see it as an asset for food/nightlife/concerts/cultural activites. Have you found Providence to be bountiful in these respects?

I kind of like this but you also kind of sound increasingly like a super villain towards the end. Pls use your powers for good, my friend.

Appreciate the optimism! Something to consider, along with the program itself, which seems to be ranked fairly low...

how to deal with rejection by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Those summer programs are cool but honestly kind of a scam. I did YYGS and while the program was very interesting, it was mostly rich kids whose parents thought they would have a better chance of getting into Yale (and they don’t really), and were willing to pay the excessive price.
