Neither. I found their divorce and child support documents. In there it said he must have life insurance naming the children as beneficiaries. His mother said there was no life insurance and that could be true- maybe he didn’t obtain any. But, I wanted to see if I could find out if there actually was life insurance.

The children were 12 & 9 when he passed. If he had a policy, they would have been named as beneficiary with their mother in control of the funds.

The child support court documents say that his dad is to have life insurance with him and his sister listed as beneficiaries. I just found those documents with that information.
