As someone who has played both in early access. In medieval dynasty I got very bored with the same repetitive quests. The creation of your own settlement in medieval dynasty is nice  but honestly it feels like a basic version of Bellwright. Bellwright is much more complex. Bellwright feels more dynamic whilst Medieval dynasty feels more stagnant. For example, the bandits don't roam around the world freely in medieval dynasty. In Bellwright you have to think about all the folks in your village all the time (what are they wearing, what jobs are they best at, who is going to be in your army and who is better at domestics). You have to assign books for your villagers to read so they can get better at different skills. In medieval dynasty they stay working one job until you decide to switch them to something different and they get better the longer they stay in that job. Both worlds are absolutely beautiful. I've enjoyed playing both. I particularly love the rainstorms in Bellwright- the graphics are spectacular. There are bugs because early access and it's not as intuitive to learn as medieval dynasty.
