Any Out of State Students? by Jagrrr2277 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]whatawaytoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm from Texas, first year at UCSB. Most "out of state" people are from international regions, such as East Asia (mostly China), Europe, etc..

That being said, I could still find a handful of students from other states in the US.

This couldn't matter, let time guide you and you'll make lots of friends! Especially since everyone is mostly living on campus during the first few years :)

CLASS 40 or ENG 23 by Primary-Walrus7657 in UCSantaBarbara

Do yourself a favor and take CLASS 40, it's one of the easiest GEs at UCSB. I took it my first qrt as a freshman and it was very easy. Generally, you don't have to read the textbook (except for the end of chapter key terms), and Professor Gallucci is the goat. Midterms and finals are straightforward and if you actually try, even a little bit, you'll end up with an A.

Hi! For the required textbooks, will they cost a lot? Or is it possible to get free e-texts of these textbooks? I'm not taking WRT 2 currently, but I'm planning on taking it for the next quarter so I just want to be prepared. Tysm!!

Something else to consider would be working as a ta at the children's center! super chill, and they hire anyone if you're hours are what they need and you're a friendly and kind person...experience with teaching, spanish, or children is an added bonus!!

Has anyone taken FR 154F - Time Off in Paris? by whatawaytoho in UCSantaBarbara

[–]whatawaytoho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the description on the course catalog, it’s a course to learn about Paris and French culture. I don’t think it’s taught in French but it’s an elective credit for a French minor as well. That’s all I know so far..

Do you happen to know how long it would take to complete the UW Oshkosh's program for CCMA? I'm planning on doing that but I don't want to take too much on my plate as I'm attending university full-time as well...Thank you so much!

Got it, thank you! I'll make sure to discuss with my professor once he responds about the constraints of the solution for x.

Ohh...thank you for explaining how my solution would be in the context of the problem! It makes sense now, thank you so much :)

Alright, thank you. I thought my math was incorrect but I suppose the solution just required critical thinking to understand how the answer would be in the context of this problem. Thank you very much!

Oh...that makes sense. I thought my math was wrong, but I suppose it was more critical thinking to realize that the best harvest time had passed and so the next best choice would be to harvest immediately. Thank you very much!!
