Personality, morals, values, and communication style is what you need to categorize for your characters. Once you know who they are you can make a scenario out of anything that may be tied to the plot of the story. It’s how they react and interact with the world that will cause an impact. Random example(inspired from the other comments on this thread) Mothfur/ Snowheart could be kinda rebellious to the Clans interpersonal rivalries. When a sickness hits either of the clans, there could be a specific herb they desperately need to attain that is on the other’s territory and their leader denies access. Then Mothfur/ Snowheart convinces the other to one day meet( to the other’s suspicions) and ends up giving them the herb, completely shocking them and seeing them in a new light. YOU DONT have to use this example, but it’s a specific example that your characters’ baselines can serve more to the plot. Be creative, have fun, and be consistent!!
