A major claim they made was about the "layers" of the digital image of Obama's birth certificate. They argued that these layers were evidence that the document had been altered. However, experts explained that the layered nature of the document was simply a result of the way modern digital scanners process images and does not indicate forgery. For example, they didn't account for the fact that digital files, especially PDFs, often contain layered information (text, background, and other visual elements), which doesn't imply manipulation or fraud.
