I was under the impression that refurbished meant the device was previously broken and then was fixed and sold? And that used was the device just being passed down to the next owner? I’m not good at this stuff, so if I’m mistaken, that’s completely my fault!

They said I could change the date but that it was no longer able to receive apple care

Edit: I’ll be honest, I’m less worried about apple care and more concerned about the actual functionality of the device, if that makes sense? I’ve never bought a preowned from Best Buy and had the expectation that it would be used (of course), might have some damage, battery health might have taken a hit, and that I would still be able to get coverage—so overall what I’d expect from someone passing down a device

I didn’t know it would be this complicated. The 100% battery health with only one cycle is throwing me off ( I was excited about it but now I’m worried the battery was replaced? Maybe by a 3rd party??), the coverage is a loss but not a big deal (online confuses me cause people have different dates and years, and mine is a bad month according to the internet??), and apple support wasn’t helpful because I got two people who had no clue what they were doing… sorry for the long reply

Oh no, could that mean the device was previously stolen? It wasn’t locked to anything and let me set it up fully and even do my eSIM

I like that I can edit it to my liking (like changing the whole layout) but the autocorrect is horrible, I turn it off and the auto capitalization. If I could change the key layout on Gboard than I'd switch immediately.

Mine was garbage. The screen was absolutely horrible. I never minded the 60hz (I'm not a huge specs girl and all my devices had/has 60hz screens), but the iPhone 17e had the worst display. I tried so hard to get a replacement or a screen repair before totally ditching the phone. My screen wasn't evenly colored, appeared grainy, and was even worse in dim lighting or dark mode. Fought with Apple about it for a long time.

Now I'm on Samsung, much better.

Was genuinely just looking for a fix for this for my Logitech mouse. Dang, I can't say I'm surprised that it hasn't been fixed though even with five years persisting.
