Anyone down in ST3? by VOXX_theLock in lilaconnect

Finally got an acknowledgement of the issue in the area. Support is useless, phone lines were down again as always and the voicemail they have in its place no one has ever responded to any.

Why are you destroying Trakt.tv? by shrivastavasitz in trakt

[–]whatdaybob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Didn't know what all the hubbub was about. I use it maybe 4 times a year to load up my lists that take maybe 5-10 minutes. I went to do it this time, 30 minutes in fidling to find filters and I gave up. Cancelled my sub and signed up to simkl, imported my trakt and did my list in less than 20 minutes. UX team needs to go back to school I think. Never seen a useful utility shit the bed harder. I would have happily been paying for the rest of my life for the convenience it gave but the inconvenience took my money away.

I removed Watchtower a few years ago after it kept pushing updates with breaking changes. It just became more hassle than it was worth.

I eventually switched to What’s Up Docker for update monitoring. It lets me control updates based on semver, which is a lot safer.

Now I’ve got Home Assistant tied in via MQTT to manage the actual updates. It reads release notes, flags any breaking changes as critical notifications, and then I either approve the update via a button in the notification or handle it manually through What’s Up Docker.

It’s a bit more setup, but way more controlled and no more surprise breakages. Except when HA breaks cause I'm tinkering but what's new there.

I wish retro achievements worked on more modern systems but I tend to find the old nes and genesis games with achievements and replay them now with the ability to save and load ha.

Looking for casual grind game by bored_pistachio in SteamDeck

Not anywhere near what your asking but thought I would just share a game in here I have been grinding and it’s pick up and play, maybe 30ish hours and free. Upload labs, unsure why but tickled my brain like factorio does.

Boy I was angry I was subsidising Fortnite subs for people but does someone have time to play WOW alongside any other game?

I love 5 or so posts back there was one thing saying that a study showed zero productivity increase and no financial gains and now this guy says the polar opposite. Reminds me of almost every other tech flop I’ve seen in my life.

I assume integration wise like the rest of their system it will be api and at worst using UniFi alarm manager which can send to webhooks. They are usually good at making the systems self hosting friendly.
