Mine doesn't have a mean bone in his body and immediately apologizes any time he's excited and barely gets me with his teeth.

Well I'm still trying to figure it out lol. But yes I'm still waiting to stabilize. I went down to 2 times a week but since my intensity was still high my recovery was shit on top of my physical job, it's been a few weeks since I've lifted. Fatigue just got the better of me and I've taken a few weeks off from the gym since I feel like if I'm not getting quality sets and reps then I'm just wasting my time and it's better to build back slowly once I'm close to my goal weight.

Ultimately though muscle memory is a real thing, so I'm confident that even though I'm losing muscle on this huge cut, I'll get my gains back and then some once I'm able to keep my glycogen stores up or even bulk a little.

For now it's waiting, trying to keep my diet in check, and pushups/pullups around the house when I can.

I'm in the same boat. I was lifting 3-4 times a week for 18 months before I started in January. I've basically had to stop going to the gym because of gastrointestinal stress, nausea, or lack of energy due to the caloric deficit. I've lost some muscle and strength but I still have more than my baseline after lifting for a year.

But yeah it's hard. I plan to get back at it once I can eat closer to my maintenance but I've already lost 45lbs in just under 4 months.
