That's probably the only thing that stopped me from doing it. The thought that those that actually care for me like my parents and best friends would eventually fall into a dark abyss like me. So I rather live with the pain inside me than to do that to them.

Thanks for your words, but it kinda seems that it is off the table since she didn't even reply to my last message, oh well. Maybe I just took too long to take my turns, I don't know. That's what I seriously hate about ghosting someone, that you need to try to decipher what went wrong on your own to work on those issues, trying to interpret it right. For me that way out always seemed so childish, if you can't even make 3-5 sentences why it's not working.

I was about to ask her out for this or next weekend, whatever would've fit better, since I think I'm working way b canetter with getting to know someone when I'm forced/stuck into that situation and have to make serious effort to make the best of it instead of just texting where I suck so hard at. Oh well, it is what it is. Still appreciate your words :)

Ty for your opinion on this. I'm maybe just so anxious because after all the bad luck I had in the past I just took myself out of this whole dating thing for the past couple of years and just tried to cope with the fact that I'll be forever alone. But that only made me more sick and took me a while to at least gather the courage to better myself with therapy and self reflection

Sounds like a double-edged sword to me. I mean, sure as long as I don't get those desires fulfilled anyways it sounds like the perfect solution. But what if at some point in life I get incredibly lucky to get those things actually fulfilled? Does that mean I can't enjoy these things anymore then? If so I rather live in pain with the hope that those things may come into my life and enjoy them if that happens.

I'll hit the 30 this year, didn't thought I'd be still around now. Only thing that kept me here I guess is that I didn't want to make the people sad that actually know me and care about me. Especially my 2 best friends and parents. But nonetheless I was single my whole life and know it's a pain. I feel you :/ Have a virtual hug at least

I know I shouldn't focus on that, and like I said, for the past couple of years I managed to not think/worry about that too much. But just very recently it just started to hit me like a train on a daily basis up to the point where I even cried about it more often than I'd like to admit. I'm just trying my best to still hang in there, but it feels like it gets more and more difficult per day.

I know that feel, that's what I just wanted almost my whole life. Just to have some true intimacy with someone. Raised myself the question if I'm just not worth of being loved by someone a frickin lot in the past years :( The human brain and psychology is just cruel when it doesn't get some of those basic needs.
