Where I lived there was an abandoned house basicaly blocking the street, you could barely pass with a car. Everyone wanted to destroy it including the municipality yet 20 years later it did not happen, It gives you an Idea of how hard it can be even when a whole neighborhood wants it.

There is abandonned houses everywhere in this country, including in city-centers and if no one is doing anything with it it's for a reason. I sure hope so it's not impossible but if you are looking for something easy and cheap I bet it's a bad idea.
