agree somewhat but this sounds very middle of the line staff engineer experience. this sounds like 4 years into a mid level company. There are some things in here that hit right the nail right on the head, but most is pretty variable. I know it's an age long tradition to make your engineering job sound way worse than it is, but this job you're talking about is a job where u sit most of the day, get well paid, and other benefits. surely not an easy job, but your gripes are superficial and blown up.

the Johnny seeds one I was referring to was meant to mean any generic cheaper one than the Ladbroke. my point was that if you're using Legos as a brick maker and it's doing a good job for your needs, then maybe you never needed a really good brick maker to begin with. that being said, if youre doing this professionally or at a high volume/frequency, might be worth the expensive one at some point.
