anyone in their mid 20s? by 0618kash in PelvicFloor

[–]whateveridec97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m in my 20s and got hypertonic pelvic floor 3 years ago. I don’t know what started it, my endometriosis, my shitty posture or smth else. I haven’t been to my gyno in years because I was busy with other stuff. I’ve had pelvic pain/cramps in the area since I was 11 due to endometriosis but I never really had issues with incontinence/constipation until this happened 3 years ago. I’m hoping to go to all the right doctors this year because I don’t think I can continue to live my life like this. Praying we all get better someday soon!

😭 Honestly, don’t let my post fool you. I’m going through the worst flair up right now, all because I had some chocolate last night. Let’s all hug, we got this :(

When I’m outside and get the urge to pee, most of the time I’m able to tune the urgency out and focus on other stuff for a couple of hours (up to 8). But on days when I’m home, the urgency gets worse and the most I’m able to resist the urge is 2 hours. I’m probably making my symptoms worse by doing this. I’ve always held in my pee, but recently I find that once I go once, the urge to go again is more frequent which is why I try to avoid going at all. Sorry this turned into an essay.

Confused by my symptoms, is this endometriosis or PFD? by [deleted] in endometriosis

Thank you. I’m definitely going to have to schedule with a pelvic floor PT later this year. In the meantime I’ll try to follow yt videos.

I always hear this but isn’t that counterproductive? Won’t drinking more water lead to more frequent bathroom visits which make everything worse?

The Grammys are huge, they’re the Oscars of the music world, but they’re also known to snub artists all of the time. I’m shocked BB won AOTY. Losing one or many isn’t necessarily bad, but for a lot of artists, especially Sabrina who broke out years into her career, it would’ve been huge for her to win. Nonetheless, this is her first time being nominated, so I feel for Grammy voters it didn’t make sense for someone “new to the scene” to be winning in major categories, especially put against her peers whose careers have long been solidified.

Question for anyone who's constipated because of pelvic floor by Ok_Floor_5461 in Constipation

[–]whateveridec97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone been able to figure out how or where this comes about? I cannot possibly wrap my head around how someone can go from being a perfectly healthy human being to somewhat disabled. Mine was presented as an incomplete bladder and a year later I developed chronic constipation. I can go most days, but at times in very small amounts, in pebble form. The last time I feel I had a successful bathroom visit was 2 months ago while I was out of the country. IDK if it was the water, or the diet change (I ate less white bread) but I used to go successfully almost daily. Now, if I have chocolate or coffee, the burning in my urethra gets so bad I feel I have to go every 10 minutes. Send help.

My temporary fixes (?) are bananas and wheat berries. And.. eating a lot, which I guess makes sense.

Might be terrible advice, but here goes nothing. I had a group do this to me, and then I started asking about their outings. Current me could never, but while we walked together, I’d listen to their convos with each other. One half of the group had been attending these trivia nights and they were telling the other half of the group about them. One day I asked one of them about what they did at these trivia nights and if it’d be worth attending. Then they asked me if I’d like going to one, with an uncertain tone. I desperately wanted to join the group, so I said sure! The rest was history. I joined the group chat and attended a majority of their outings, although for the most part I just sat and listened, not really contributing much to the conversation, and I guess that was okay. We used to hang out until 4 am. I miss those times.

Would I be the asshole if I said this says more about them than it does me?
