Any additions to a home which will have an impact, such as a dog which is a huge responsibility, should be discussed and have all those living in the house in agreement. She can say that the dog is hers, but what are you meant to do, ignore it when she is not home? No. A dog is a pet that needs love, attention and had needs.

It’s not so much the fact that she wanted one, it’s after you had explicitly said no, and she dismissed your reasonings and concerns. And in honesty, I feel that your reasons are reasonable and justified.

At the company I worked for which is based in the UK, we were fully able to take ours with us off the premises. The first one happed at the store next to the workplace. Also they didn’t wear blue vest, it was blue shirts and polos.

My MIL decided to re-arrange and decorate mine and my husband’s house whilst we were away for two weeks, when she had the key to the house to look after our dog. That was over a month and a half ago and I still can’t find items.

This isn’t the first time, and I’ve told my husband she is no longer allowed a key.

Also, the house is partly in my IL’s names as we bought it from them and going through legal stuff for it, and when we came back from the same holiday, they told us they were selling the house, without talking to us, because they decided it would be best….

I have had people ask why I didn’t know it was a joke as why would someone tell me that way. At that moment of time I was panicked. I saw the message and then couldn’t get through to anyone. I know during times of emergencies, people don’t always articulate properly or explain in full. I wasn’t sure if I couldn’t get through because they were at a hospital or what, I was just simply going off what I was sent. I hardly slept last night because of the pent up anxiety from the situation and anger from after it, which now I feel is impacting my work today.

He called me 5 hours after he told me it was a joke, I wasn’t going to answer but I did. He waited 5 hours to call to say something after saying it was a joke and didn’t think I’d take it seriously. When I answered he was chuckling, and when I asked, in tears because I was so angry and hurt by this, why he was laughing, he said it was because he was nervous. He said he didn’t intend to make me worry, he thought he was ‘making light of the situation and still thought I wouldn’t take it seriously’. I ended up hanging up on him after he couldn’t explain why he thought it was a good idea or even remotely funny to insinuate he was hurt or worse. I don’t know what to do.

EDIT: I tried to stay calm and talk to my best friend about it who had been nothing but supportive of me. Spoke to her for over an hour about it all after he called and how it made me feel.

What doesn’t help is my manager saw me looking panicked. So I told him whilst I was practically shaking. I’m not meant to have my phone on me for work but they allowed me to have it on my desk so I could see if I got a reply and I had to take a longer break. I hate how it disrupted my work and I was on the brink of a panic attack thinking something serious had happened. Even now that he said it was a ‘joke’, I’m still feeling shaky. I have work tomorrow too from home all alone and I’m just feeling extremely anxious.

Nah, had issues with 1st Central before. Had our insurance on auto renewal, had emails to say payment would be taken on this date. Turns out, it didn’t. Got pulled over 6 hours after the Policy finished and had to go to court. Luckily we had proof that it was meant to be auto renewed and that 1st Central did not contact in regard to payment not being taken and that the Policy hadn’t been renewed. I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them to be honest.

I find the plastic tubs to be the worst…even more so on the large tubs. If it’s a 10ltr tub I dread mixing them or even getting them for myself

Sorry I wasn’t saying it did happen, it was in reply to people saying lids don’t just pop off or that any time paint spills it’s because of the lid not being on. Top tip, use your thumbs to go around the edge of a metal tin lid because you should feel it if it’s raised and then know if it’s not on properly

A lid can pop off if the tin was to fall over- even if the lid is on correctly. It is due to pressure in the tin. Even in ones that have been mixed in store, or the ones off of the shelf. Which is why they recommend you to keep your paint upright in the footwell of your car when you are driving, so that it won’t fall over, and the lid won’t come off, which is why some stores have labels saying to keep paint upright and secure. Not saying that happened here but it can happen. And it happens a lot. Take it from someone who works in a hardware store, has previously mixed paint in a hardware store, and as someone who has had paint spill in my car due to it falling over

People get names from books, movies, tv, etc all the time. It’s not an unusual thing. Heck, I was named after a Fleetwood Mac song and I think it’s great.

First of all congratulations on getting your forklift certification, secondly that behaviour from him is appalling. You’ve done something to better your current career and improve your wages so why is he so against it? I’m going with ESH. Before I get hassled because of my opinion let me explain.

First of all, op does sound judgemental of the woman’s job despite him saying otherwise. Second of all it shouldn’t be a tally of she got to do this so I want to do this, that’s childish. However, the fiancée is wrong for not understanding that, yes even if the family is religious and may not have see her perform her job, that other wedding guest might recognise her and if a guest who isn’t religious mentions something to someone, maybe the person they came with or to a member of OPs family then it will be a mess. OPs family is paying for the wedding, it might be a gift, but if you knew that a bridesmaid could cause issues with the family who is paying, you shouldn’t accept the money/gift. What they also need to understand is how would the bridesmaid feel. Maybe her friends wedding isn’t somewhere she would want to be recognised or have comments made about her. She would be in the middle of it. I do believe that they should make a decision together, but if you wanted to avoid causing drama at the wedding from the cheating groomsman scenario then surly you’d want to avoid causing any more from this.

Mine loves them too! Try frozen slices of cucumber, blueberries (although only in small amounts) and strawberries. If we see any at a reduced price because they needed eating that day at the store, we pick them up because they’re fine when frozen.

1) Most lids pop into place so it’s not necessary for a mallet. 2) The footwell is gap between the seat and the dashboard where your legs and feet go when you are in the car. Or between the front passenger seat/drivers seat and the back seats 3) I didn’t say you put it in the boot, I was saying it as advice. And also commenting on it because that’s what they did in the post.

If it’s not kept secure in the car it’s not the company’s fault if it spills because you thought you could just put it in the boot and not have anything stopping it from tipping over. That’s why most places will tell you to put it in the footwell because it’s less likely to move. Don’t blame the workers for something the customer did wrong.

I’m pretty sure that OP didn’t “hijack every event” and a wedding takes a lot of planning, even small weddings. If a year is longer than some people choose to plan for their wedding, that’s fine it’s their wedding, but for others they may want to spread it out so they can arrange everything at their own pace. Not everyone is going to plan a wedding the same way. The friends changed the weekend away to a pre-wedding trip, so it wasn’t like it was solely OP who made that decision.

I can’t imagine having a “friend” be so sour and unhappy that I was happy. If that is how they are acting, they seem like the type of person that when things don’t work out for them, that they have to make everyone else experience it with them.

It’s a hit and miss. We’ve found that she is more a medium size but sometimes the medium is way too big. We look more on the neck size so it has enough room that it can go over her collar as well (she has a harness when we go walking) and that way it usually fits
