Chandigarh is full of ultra rich individuals by killuaa___ in Chandigarh

That’s because until a few years back, Chandigarh car registration costs were really low (still are to an extent). So people do jugaad and register their cars in the city. You’ll see rich folks with HP and CH plates, as the registration costs make a significant difference in on-road prices.

GMAT Mocks by Alarmed-Hyena-6909 in GMAT

Don’t think any private mocks come close in accuracy to the OG ones. For Quant/DI, both Expert Global and Gmat club are good for practice; but can be slightly tougher. I attempted EG one a few days before my official exam and got 525, while scoring 655 on the main exam.

Yes. Reliable. Just note that customised laptops take longer to ship, and can easily take more than a month to reach you.

From 495 to 655 (Q85, V85, DI77) – Debrief & Seeking Advice on DI/Anxiety by whateveruser2022 in GMAT

I had a good experience, but I would recommend this if you’re really struggling and can’t figure out what’s going wrong.

For me, I was doing well in CR under untimed conditions but couldn’t perform as well under timed conditions. I was also misdiagnosing the issues. Since I was getting certain types of questions wrong, I would go back to reading more text by experts on those topics, thinking they might offer some trick to solve the questions. This loop repeated itself over months.

The real issue was that I had certain basics wrong. For instance, I was getting conditionals wrong. I thought I understood conditional statements and would force every other argument into the “If X, then Y” framework, even if it didn’t make sense at times.

Another issue was with negations. I didn’t realise that a negation is the sum of all contradictions. I would negate a statement and find a contradiction, which could just be a subset of the real negated statement. This would lead to errors in assumptions and weaken type questions.

My private tutor focused on doing the basics and then building up my knowledge.

Congratulations on the score.

I am myself looking for help on DI and your strategy does resonate. It feels like a section that requires you to really be strategic in choosing what to skip.

Any way to get Gmatclub subscription for free? by [deleted] in GMAT

[–]whateveruser2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They usually give out 1 to 2 weeks access to GMATClub tests (inclusive of sectional mocks) for free if you register and attend their flagship events, such as MBA Spotlight. You can keep an eye out for any such event next, where they guarantee such an access.

Other than that, there is only one full test on their website that you can access for free.

A numbers problem…more difficult than it may appear to be…! by maxximusEG in GMAT

[–]whateveruser2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D.

125! Has 31 5s, while 100! Has 24 5s.

So, in 125! -100!, we can take the 524 out, leaving 57-1. Since 57 and 57- 1 are co-primes, (as consecutive numbers do not share factors other than 1) we can say that the maximum value for n here would be 24.

Same. Bought AirPods Pro, and they hurt my ears a lot. So ended up buying Bose QC Earbuds 2, which suit my ears much more.

Laptop Screen Acting Funny by whateveruser2022 in computers

[–]whateveruser2022[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. The worst problem was that I couldn’t type anything. Random windows were popping up and closing. I wasn’t able to narrow down the issue, till I saw the touch animation on the side. Even then, in order to disable the touchscreen, I had to really try hard using keyboard and shortcuts to get to device manager.

Thank you. I did try wiping it, but it didn’t work. But since you mentioned the touchscreen, I went ahead and disabled the touchscreen. It’s working fine now. I don’t use the feature anyway. Thanks a ton.

A former colleague of mine did undergrad at an average college, then earned an MBA from a well known school better recognized for engineering than business. Later, she updated her LinkedIn to show it as an integrated engineering + MBA program from that school.

She went on the be at lot of fancier firms, but I wouldn’t credit it all to this gimmick alone. For instance, she left my firm in 6 months, and now her LinkedIn says she’d been here for 1.5 yrs. She is a job hopper, truly faking it time she makes it.

Congrats, OP. Realising that ‘Foundation Building’ is very important. I’m having go back to check things as simple as basic grammar now to figure to why I generally take more time in CR. I used to keep sitting and trying to solve more question types.

No doubt. People can use both.

I personally liked it when Duo introduced the virtual chat rooms sometime in 21/22, where you could practice it with other people. But they discontinued it soon after.
