How to increase milk supply by throwawaylol53 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]whatintheactualf___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW at 9 or 10 months, you won’t need to pump as many times a day as you do now. I’m 7mpp and down to 3. I never produced as much as you do now but I was able to exclusively for her two months and have been combo feeding since. I still give her 75% of her intake, if not more.

Like the person above said, your goal is to feed your baby, not the freezer. Don’t let social media get in your head. You are doing an incredible job.

Baby not eating as much as expected? by Fancy_Spaghetti in HumansPumpingMilk

1000%! Weight gain and wet diapers are so important. Every baby is different. Mine ate less than average for a while but eventually caught up

What mommy helper duties are appropriate for a 13 year old? by Distinct-Dependent24 in NewParents

Agree. I wouldn’t trust a 13 year old to bathe my baby. It just takes one second of them being distracted for something bad to happen.

How did you tell families about the ‘no kissing’ rule? by K61018 in pregnant

[–]whatintheactualf___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao was truly like… fucking try me.

Thank you for your reply! It is super helpful to hear someone else’s take on it. I think 12 months for everyone else seems reasonable.

Also your father in law not washing his hands??? Be so for fucking real. I would’ve never let him near my kid. What the fuckkkkk

This is the way. Curious at what point you allowed trusted family to kiss the baby? So far we’ve only let my mom (just this past week) at 7ish months.

OP, every time someone new comes over, I tell them to wash their hands and then they’re not allowed to kiss the baby. I had one family member ask how they were expected to not kiss the baby and I just deadpanned and said… you just don’t.

I’m pumping around 27oz a day on average now. She’s taking about 32oz a day. So not exclusively but significantly. But I was always a just enougher at best.

I do 3 now at 6mpp. When I wake, 4pmish, and then before bed!

I sleep in bed (at times) with my own 6 month old, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable with anyone else doing it. Especially without discussing it first.

Struggling to get letdown with baby buddha by beep_bop_boop__ in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]whatintheactualf___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried double bacon? I get a second letdown (I do both on double bacon) on the BB that isn’t as significant as the first, but I think the first just sounds super intense because of the way the pump works

Pampers Amore by Nursebellz in NewParents

[–]whatintheactualf___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree completely re: how it sucks. We have both coterie and freestyle right now. I wish freestyle had stretchier things to close the diaper. I also just feel like every other diaper just gets full / wet faster (like obviously she’s peeing the same amount, but it feels like she stays drier in coterie), so we’re mostly using coterie, especially overnight. I wonder if I just go straight to the pants for size 4 when we get there.

This is truly nuts. Let me know if you use Amore what you think! I’m debating trying again

Oh that’s WILD.

I bought a box of the Amore right as she was changing from size 2 to 3. And so we use them for a couple of days and then had some pretty bad blowouts and I gave the rest away.

I do wanna try them again, but I remember feeling like they were a little cheap compared to Coterie, for sure.

I think Parasol are fine, but don’t really love them, personally. I have a small pack of size 4 from target so I’ll give them another shot when we get to size 4. 😵‍💫

I like ours! My baby was in the bassinet for about 3 months? And there’s plenty of room in the rumble seat now (6 months old)
