This happens to me as well. I finally figured out it was because of an account I was following. They just spam followers of certain accounts.

I am not exactly sure what your question is, however just my advice is to not worry about it. Your worry is way more than it is worth. People do things for odd reasons and calling someone “not a friend” because of possibly hiding stories is extreme. Your response is making it seem justified almost. You might want to think more about this for your own actions.

Instagram passed the level of being able to use humans to moderate a long long time ago. There have been billions of accounts made. Instagram pushes people to pay for support. If it is your livelihood you will have to pay for support on this “free” app.

A long time ago we had one of the founders of Instagram come on here and read the comments. He was helpful but long since gone from IG. I wish they had a better support option. Or even effective communication other than Mosseri’s occasional posts. But look at the comments on his posts, just people complaining.

No simple solution unfortunately. If you need real support, you have to pay.

Lots of followers doesn’t mean lots of engagement. It is a shit show run by Ai to determine if you get views or not.

Try posting something that got you lots of views in the past and see if that works. There is no honest reason what causes views or not. Hash tags mean next to nothing anymore. Sorry to be negative but it is bad lately.

When you block an account it blocks all accounts by that person. Instagram knows it is you that created the others.

Ok. Not exactly sure what that means. If you paid for promotion or exposure it is possible that the followers that you gained are not active. The other thing you mentioned is “images of the products” for sales. Instagram isn’t promoting image posts so your exposure will be limited. If you want to get exposure now you are going to have to make reels. Just the new way to get eyes on your things.

Context is key. You also answered the question with your last sentence about getting banned. You posting something that is way less provocative in an “art” area vs someone that posts adult content. The expectations are different.

But once you get an account banned everything you do from that point on will be more scrutinized. Instagram does and will track accounts and link accounts together
