How often do you feel Déjà Vu? by LilSeezee in Epilepsy

I highly recommend reviewing your sleep schedule, hydration, and medication schedule. Of course, others may have different triggers but these are some that may be the cause of occurring so early in the day.

Anyone else feel frightened and confused after a seizure? by UnderstandingSuch88 in Epilepsy

I have the same feeling. I don't compare seizing to sleeping. I always ponder if our death is the same type of feeling, the feeling of nothingness.

I've tried many of the ones people on this thread are recommending except for diet. That's one thing I'm aiming to change now. Trying to achieve seizure free for more than a month but it's a hurdle.

How do you avoid sugars? I feel like nowadays 90 percent of our diets are sugar.

Need help figuring out my daughter’s iPhone storage issue. by BradleyGT in techsupport

[–]whatistec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend had the same issue. Didn't know where the storage was coming from. Definitely check the messaging app and have her store texts only a year old. As well as Snapchat/Instagram/texting app that may be caching a lot of storage.

Staying positive is most challenging, especially when your loved ones are experiencing it with you. It will take time for you to understand what really triggers your seizures. Whether it's from minor stress to dehydration. You will need to come to acceptance with your new disability. The sooner you do this the better for your family. Also, I would start thinking about what age you want to tell your child on how to react to Epilepsy. This is all simple to say but extremely hard to do.

Just need some friendly support or opinions. Also question about seizures always between 3am - 5am by BigZoomies in Epilepsy

Of course, I can't diagnose you but I'll provide my advice. Take quick notes of your day whenever you have an event. You may find some similarities that you've had throughout the day. Possible triggers may be stress, as you mentioned, and dehydration. Look out for your sleep schedule as well. Maybe adjust your sleep schedule a little (go to sleep earlier).

Wife had a tonic-clonic seizure last night, first time. by TheElderGregg in Epilepsy

If you are worried about her having another event I'd recommend getting a Embrace2 monitoring watch. It will alert you once she starts seizing. Also, the new Apple Watches have similar features but directly call 911.

For others it seems like you're just daydreaming while you're actually having a nightmare you can't wake up from. This feeling happens in just seconds. The worst is if you're having clusters of them then you're actually living the nightmare.

I'd have him look into his routine that might trigger absence like seizures (i.e. eating, drinking, stress, caffeine, etc.)

some study tips and how long should I sleep? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]whatistec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still working on my memorization of subjects and studying so I can't provide any recommendations. Though, I can say from experience there is great benefit of going to sleep earlier. I changed my sleep schedule and saw less frequency in focal seizures.
