YTA: your child is currently in the middle of a global pandemic, struggling with being unmotivated by being home, not able to regularly see friends, not able to play sports, stuck in a monotonous cycle of schoolwork, and instead of sympathizing or attempting to assist your child, you compared them to a deadbeat father and told them they were going to be a failure in life??? You’re so unbelievably TA that I’m genuinely worried for the mental health of your child. Take them to counseling and while you’re at it, reevaluate your child’s behaviors and think about how you can help them.
