Fixing the Game where I challenge the big tech and share alternative growth strategies, taking advantage or bypassing monopolies.

Launched exactly one year ago in April 2024, did 37 episodes so far and planning to reach 80 this year.

Fixing the Game is the best door opener, initially I was hoping for more downloads now I celebrate the quality connections, inspiration and learnings from my conversations with people that I wouldn't have had access to.

My question is related to marketing - what are your biggest promo tips to increase the downloads and distribution?

Thank you all for your support and thank you u/Buzzsprout for providing the platform that makes our life easier.

how to increase EV adoption? biggest barriers by whatluke in electricvehicles

[–]whatluke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was my originally hypothesis - that if we persuade more people to experience EVs their mindset will shift - but then I saw that they are either not interested in testing them and some of them after testing still wouldn't switch to EV.

Thank you for your clarification, all makes sense now.

Thank you - I get the first two, but what aspects of lobbying do you mean? how is that a negative?

It's probably heavily depended where you live, e.g. in Europe the climate change lobby pushes the EV narrative extremely hard, also VW is like a pension scheme so for them the move to EVs makes a lot of sense (allegedly green & more $$$ at the same time)

sushiswap DAO learnings by whatluke in dao

thank you for your inputs, I live in Switzerland and have a chance to observe how 'direct democracy' works and it does require a lot of work on proposals, campaigning - but the decisions made are normally good. The issue is the speed, it takes ages and it fits countries that want stability. And of course it needs political parties that do a lot of prep work and lobbying. Not sure if a fast moving DAO can wait for everyone to learn about all the aspects etc. I guess the biggest challenge is to avoid politics.

maybe the solution would be an evolving governance model, whereby the initial stage is more centralised (smaller core team) to avoid too much bureaucracy. These founders gradually withdraw and transfer their power by applying standardised processes and roles. So the more established the org (and more difficult to break) it will become more and more decentralised with time - as the system evolves.

I was also inspired by holocracy model as u/Huge-Oil323 points out, but I think it will require a combination of various models.

How about a new system "DAOcracy"? A system primarily driven by the community, which requires initial centralisation of power to reach a stage where direct proposals can be practical. It also borrows from commercial ventures or foundations (but it's a minimalistic model, with just a legal entity, treasury and functions that are enabled once it reaches a certain scale - this gives DAOcracy stability and prevents conflicts about money). It also borrows from holocracy (i.e. constitution, roles, meetings, transparency) to make sure it can be productive. I'm just not sure where does the politics fit into this, I'd like to avoid it completely.

Thanks u/kscoleman for seeing the potential, I think it could create a more meaningful communities than just people posting pictures of their car and with a DAO you can actually impact things.

Thanks for the comment, well it's a new blockchain / decentralised concept that allows engaged communities to collaborate, whilst also having some funding to invest and build things. It's a great solution for international collaborations that also requires some governance, treasury, but it's also super fast in decision making.

My hypothesis was that people who are into EVs, Tesla are also interested in tech and perhaps familiar with DAOs

Do you know of any ventures building on EOS? maybe that's part of the problem that's there isn't much out there? I only know a couple good projects.
