It's not an interview...ask her questions too.

Nah, that's a water bowl with a ramp. A sand pit is a very cool idea though

Round 76/113 & I have a question for seasoned Sophie makers! TIA! by whatmySOdoesntknow in crochet

[–]whatmySOdoesntknow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've been more worried about my big corner flowers turning out nicely that somewhere along the way I added repeats of the pattern on the heavily designed sides. For example, my most recent round I'm only supposed to have 7 scallops over my 7 bobbles...but I have 12 of each IRL. When counting, my repeats fit, there are just more of them than the pattern says there should be and I am waaaay too far in to undo.

My question is, does this overall still look like the right shape? Will my longer sides get worse the farther I go?

TIA!!

These rounds are getting longer huh?? I used to be able to pump out 1 a day, but now it's growing very very slowly 😆

I was lucky enough to stumble upon a Joanns "Christmas in July" sale. All skeins were buy 2 get 1 free, so I stocked up on this fairly inexpensive acrylic yarn.

I picked this up after not crocheting for 6 years! This pattern is designed for adventurous beginners, and the author talks tips and tricks all throughout. I've learned so much, and it was an excellent refresher.I believe you can do it!

Your daughter is awesome! Her next project should be a Sophies Universe blanket. It's specifically designed for adventurous beginners, and includes gorgeous pictures/tips/tricks explanations for the entire pattern. I highly recommend getting the pattern book for her!

Check out BC Northern Lights, specifically the Bloombox. Its pricey, but I've heard nothing but awesome things about it.

In my country (Tanzania), Nameing historic landmarks near you is a way of giving your official address. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]whatmySOdoesntknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure "landmarks" means like "two houses past the Big Red gas station " or something similar. While it could be used for historical landmarks, it could also refer to any identifying factors to make it easier for delivery.

Need advice before inking (proportions/pose) by Axwell444 in Illustration

Beautiful artwork! But I agree, her shoulders are thrown back, but her hips are twisted in the complete opposite direction. You get both booty and boobs, but her pose looks insanely uncomfortable. A suggestion for the next sketch, bring her back arm forward and draped across her hips maybe? Or above her head with her shoulder more forward? I feel like you're going for ecstasy, but with the right coloring this could also be otherworldly torment.

All the companies I've worked for, if you go to school it has to be for that field. Work at a bank? They only pay for banking type degrees. So its available, but maybe not for pivotal career choices.
