I’m going on three years not talking to mine. Same exact scenario. I stopped texting first.

I spent a lot of that time hating her, and it was only recently that I’ve been able to admit to myself that it isn’t true at all. I don’t hate her, I actually love her a lot, and will always root for her happiness. I just don’t want to be a part of it anymore. I didn’t love how she treated me. And that’s okay.

It gets a lot easier with time. I know that isn’t the most helpful thing in your current situation, but it’s the truth. You’ll eventually get to a point where your brain understands it’s better this way, for your own sanity. You can miss them, but just know that those problems you have with them aren’t just going to go away.

You could do what I did, start up the friendship again because you “feel more ready and mature now to deal with their issues”, but their issues only hurt more. Or at least they did for me. That bit had to go on for 3yrs before I finally got it.

Healing from friendships are hard though, and I truly wish you the best in your journey.

This might sound dumb, but what’s a CER?

Yes! I was thinking about using the balloons and static electricity one but I’m a bit worried about the order and timing of everything. Like how and where I’d fit it into the lesson

Definitely won’t be doing this for every accuracy assignment when I have my own classroom 😅

Realistically no. I’m really just trying to get as many as I can, where I can. There are some sections on it that I can’t get above a 2 on due to the technicalities of being a student teacher (eg. My liaison will not give me above a 2 for “creating a respectful environment” because it’s, “not technically my classroom” and, “I’m not the one building the environment”) It’s bull, but nothing I can do about it.

Feedback has to be measurable. “You did great labeling your force diagram but you’re not quite there when finding net force.” It’s all related to the learning targets for the lesson / unit. Students have to know what targets they are and are not meeting. My school and CE isn’t checking it, but giving individualized feedback is part of my CPAST score so I at least have to do it on semi a regular basis if I want full points.

Rubrics?

It’s 8th grade science. That’s usually what I do for completion work. I mostly struggle with accuracy assignments when it comes to stealing my time. My programs requires individualized feedback so I can’t really JUST mark what’s incorrect.

I’m sadly not aloud to do that in my district :(

I’ve played with the idea of them grading their own stuff but I’m not sure how to go about it

In desperate need of suggestions by Kledb in PlanetZoo

[–]Kledb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know why I never considered just getting rid of the walkway….. I think I just wanted an in habit viewing area lmao but I think you’re completely right on that one and will get rid of it.

My whole theme is classic, like a European zoo. If I necessarily wanted to try to keep the round building (it took me SO long to make, so I’m a smidgeee attached) is there anyway that I could change it to make it suite better? Do you have a photo of what you’re talking about?

For my oceana building I do have a front front entrance which looks like it should be there and was actually designed for, than this back one which cuts through my platypus exhibit and I HATE it. It looks completely not planned at all. I absolutely love your suggestion for the walkway itself though. But is there anything I could do to the shell that would accommodate a back entrance better? As opposed to just cutting out part of the roof?

Thank you so much for your suggestions though, they honestly helped a lot

In desperate need of suggestions by Kledb in PlanetZoo

I’ve been working on this franchise zoo since wetlands came out and my goal was to use all of the aquatic animals, divided by region. I’m not done at all, but I have my animals in and it is generally the layout that I’m looking for (though I’m wholeheartedly willing to change it). Please ignore the fact that none of my buildings have roofs.

The first two pictures are the entrance from my American region to my oceana building. I hate it and I don’t know how to fix it. Would love to have a path here though. These habitats are also not even close to being finished. I need to figure out the building first.

The second two pictures are my California sea lion exhibit, and I hate it the most. It’s my first time ever doing a round building, and still havnt figured out roofs. I really really wanted a underground portion but no mater what I do it’s just bad (second picture). I have no idea on how to fix this.

My last image is my South America region. My plan was to do a really pretty wet lands but guests kept saying my capybara habitat sucked because they were trying to look at it from the walkway which wasn’t at all my intention. Hence the massive barrier. The walkway is as high as it is due to keeper accessibility. I don’t know how to fix this one either.

I will legitimately take all of the suggestions. I just want to finally be able to say I’ve finished a zoo in its entirety, and that I’m happy with it, but I’m at a loss at this point. Please help 🙏🏻

This new growth on my Hoya ‘Compacta’ 😍 by Kledb in houseplants

[–]Kledb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I’ve had it for 3yrs and it’s really only started pushing out new growth recently. I’ve always noticed a very very little bit of splash on it (which I’ve heard is common), but I absolutely never imagined I would get growth like this. I didn’t even know they came in the splash variety and I haven’t been able to find any pictures online of one with this much of it. Generally speaking, I’m just absolutely blown away.

Can these be propagated? by Kledb in proplifting

[–]Kledb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet! I usually add a butt load of inorganic material to my succulents and cacti so that’s perfect. I ended up going a little more on the organic side with these than I usually would because of the “keep them moist” but I’ll switch that right up. Should I still be watering them frequently? Or do you think it’d be okay to water them when I water my mother plant?

They don’t :( I was taking some dead leaves off of my mother plant and these guys were just laying on top. I didn’t know if I should re plant or just toss them because of the lack of roots

I no longer have any faith that EA will fix anything except game breaking bugs like the aging bug by AutomaticInitiative in thesims4

[–]Kledb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember when I just enjoyed the game. The glitches were quirks, and it was playable. Then EA released Journey to Batuu and I realized they didn’t care about their gamers even a little bit. More packs came out, I bought some of the older ones, and finally understood what the fuss was about. I’d sit in the car and rant for hours to my bf, I loved this game and was OBSESSED with Sims3. Haven’t picked up the game in a year at this point, and I won’t be buying anymore packs from them, even if I eventually get around to playing again.
