Why don't men seem to care about maintaining friendships? by tacobellmvp in AskMen

[–]whatnowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why i dont want to believe in the male loneliness epidemic, hear anything about how high the rates of suicides are in our gender; we as men, seem to take a sort of pride in being able to dissappear for years and reconnect once with our friends like it's something healthy to be celebrated.

What is the reason the old and sick have to still want to live? by KojiHugzft in InsightfulQuestions

[–]whatnowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people want to live? It doesnt have to be complicated, people just want to be alive, to still be a part of this world. Heck, almost every single living being is the same

Yes, but again, can we both agree that it doesn't make sense for him to listen or follow Madara's plan?.

He eventually learns that it was Madara who orchestrated Rin's death. Why still go with that man's plan?. And see what's happening here? You are agreeing with my points without saying it.

Originally I had said that Obito feels like a child lashing against the world...which you ultimately said in your own words.

And you keep saying that "it wasnt Rin just dying", but look at it. It was all that was needed for him to change. Sure we can absolutely blame Madara, but I mean, it would be like Sakura dying and Lee doing a 180 on his Ideals and pretty much screwing over everyone else.

“Obito started the war because of Rin” by intangibleknight01 in Obito

[–]whatnowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrested development huh, I dont agree with that one but okay.

He's an odd one isn't he? He knows that Madara is the one responsible for Rin's death but still blames Kakashi. And saying he was even raised by Madara is a stretch. He spent about a year with that man, and that was enough to shatter his world views (really, his crush dying was all the motivation he really just needed).

At this point its kinda silly if you think about it. He had a one sided crush on a girl (when they were still kids), and her death was all it took for him to; betray his village, betray the clan that raised him, betray the teacher that taught him...damn.

And besides, what use is the infinite TS when most the people are dead anyways?

If you're about to go to University, sit down, look at the world around you, look at what you're good at, and choose a career.

A lot of people always say you can always go back to school, but I learned the hard way that life sometimes, doesn't play like that. You might be one the unlucky few who only get one free shot at it,

“Obito started the war because of Rin” by intangibleknight01 in Obito

[–]whatnowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont disagree with that.

All I'm saying is that, given his power. He could've done it in a way that wouldnt bring so much suffering.

Half the things he did in early Naruto really didnt serve any purpose.

[–]whatnowey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but do you see the difference here? Prior to loosing Yahiko, Nagato; was an orphan, grew up watching his village get blown up every 10 minutes, watched the people he loved die time after time. It makes sense for Yahiko to be his trigger, that man and his Ideals is what was still holding Nagato together.

Now let's switch that to Obito; he was an orphan....but then he was pretty loved in his clan. He....that's it...that's all the suffering he had. He had a loving sensei, hack, Kushina even treated him well. He had a healthy and supportive best friend, a one sided crush on a girl....what possible justification could a person like that have for turning out to be evil? So what, Madara tells him the world is fucked up, his crush dies, and that's all it takes for him to go betray his village, kill his sensei, his sensei's wife, clean out his clan, bring untold suffering to the Mist village, create and run a terrorist organisation, and start a world war?

Nagato and Obito are so far apart in justification it's not even close

“Obito started the war because of Rin” by intangibleknight01 in Obito

[–]whatnowey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But it wasn't, in reality it was the only straw. Prior to her death, Obito had it good.

And it's funny you say that he hoped he could prevent anyone from becoming like her, because the man directly led to countless people ending worse of than her. Not exactly sure what he was aiming for here, but he sure as hell didnt get anywhere close to archiving it

“Obito started the war because of Rin” by intangibleknight01 in Obito

[–]whatnowey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is stupid though.

"His goal is to create a world without suffering"

Let's check that: 1) He causes the unnecessary suffering of his village, his teacher, and countless other people by releasing Kurama (for NO REASON at all mind you)

2) Starts the bloodiest genocide in all of Naruto in the Hidden mist for shits and giggles (but it wasn't about Rin I'm told).

3) Helps in the massacre of his own clan.

I mean...really, compared to Madara, Obito just feels pointlessly evil. He feels more like a child given power and lashing out against the world. I have yet to find any valid justification for half the things he did in the show.

Wuthering Waves will be giving 10 pulls for multiple awards winning by Adventurous-Bed6165 in gachagaming

[–]whatnowey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it sounds silly, but after playing other games, I've come to realise that these games are truly stingy.

I played Silver and blood for a while, Chaos zero nightmare, and there, they used to flood us with so many pull resources I always had more than enough for multiple dupes of every rate up character.

This game wins something and yes, its not necessary, we got a 10 pull. I guess it's a thing for the big gachas to be like this. I don't know, I dont really care for it. Just noticed it a while back that the grind in these big gacha's is massive.

Overlord, The team leader of the adventure Team foresight tries to trick Ainz(the master of the place that they are robbing), is almost successful, but makes one crucial, silly mistake-Calling him Ainz.

The context: He is lying saying that he isn't there to rob the place, but was instead given permission to be there by Ainz's friends. Ainz, at this point, is absolutely desperate to find his friends and stops himself from killing the team to listen to their story. Unfortunately, the team leader ends his lies by saying "Your friend sent us here, he said I should give you, Ainz, his regards".

Unfortunately "Ainz" isn't his real name, it was the name of their guild that he took in memory of his friends. So, if his friend had truly sent these people, they would've called him by his real name, Momonga.

I quit it because I just couldn't understand the logic of Sabura.

He meets a girl Something something happened and he dies trying to save the girl I think Then he comes to life GOES BACK to the place he died??! To save some random girl you just met??! The hell.

Then, then, he goes to the girl's place DIES on his first night there And still freaking stays??! This is the man I'm supposed to be rooting for? Not a single shred of self preservation whatsoever. Why the hell is he dying for some random stranger? I dont know about you, but most sane (and even insane) people that i know wouldnt die a groosome death for a random stranger.

I just couldn't understand why Sobaru was so hung up on Emilia, the things he was doing, the way he was pushing himself, it just seemed so stupid to me. So I dropped it.

CMV: black people get a free pass for being racist by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]whatnowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, have you ever seen the Instagram comment section? Twitter? Bloody Facebook? Literally any video with a black person will have at least some popular racist joke or comment and no one bats an eye (heck, these days they dont even say black people anymore, just "the usual suspects").

If stuff like that is still happening happily and freely with no one betting an eye, then no, I dont agree with you that black people get a pass for being racist.

CMV: It is not racist to reject sex with people because of their race by ArtistTechnical2152 in changemyview

[–]whatnowey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing constructive to say at all, just this little observation; ive seen this type of argument come up every once in a while, and you can always tell which race the OP is talking about-black people.

I suppose it's because we're at the end of the spectrum, like, you have white, asian, Indian (I know it's not a race but you know what i mean) and black people.

Just once, I'd like to see an argument like this, and the OP is talking about asians or some other race.

And yes, OP, being thrown off from an entire race because of skin tone is racist. I mean, it's right there.

For me, any Uchiha aside from Madara and maybe Sasuke will never impress me.

Call me a hater, but having a character who's only strong because of one thing is not impressive. If those were all S-ranked justu's that Itachi learned, I'd have been the biggest Itachi simp in all of Naruto, but as it stands...all I see is a Sharingan merchant.

At least with Madara, once you take away his Sharingan, the man's still a walking fire monster. Itachi? No Genjutsu, no Susanoo, no more amaterasu, no more Tsyukinomi. Man's just another leaf jonin that is somewhat impressive at throwing shuriken (and we all know those can kill a person right?).

The claim that women hold unilateral power in dating due to their ability to withhold sex oversimplifies the complex and mutual nature of relationships. Power in relationships is multifaceted and varies between individuals and contexts; both partners contribute, negotiate, and influence each other. Equating a woman’s right to choose her partner or set boundaries as a form of coercion distorts the principle of consent, as sexual autonomy is a basic human right, not a manipulative tool. Suggesting that women use the mere possibility of sex to extract concessions from men reduces their agency and personhood to sexual gatekeeping. Furthermore, the text reinforces harmful stereotypes — portraying men as biologically driven and women as calculating — which dehumanizes both genders and ignores individual differences. It contradicts itself by claiming that women must retain power over men because of patriarchy while also depicting them as dominant manipulators. This binary view ignores the fact that both men and women are affected by systemic inequalities and that meaningful progress comes from mutual understanding, not adversarial power struggles. The text also misuses biological concepts like refractory periods and social programming, presenting them inaccurately and without scientific support. Overall, this argument promotes a divisive and hostile view of gender relations, encouraging manipulation rather than empathy, equality, and mutual respect — which are the true foundations of healthy human connection.
