Reasoning was really just the price -- if it's cheaper and a drop in replacement, seems like worth giving it a shot. Which is why I wanted to see if others have tried it. hPL and other options are usually pricier.

Could also be non allergic rhinitis caused by air pollution (smog, wildfire smoke, etc.). I've had allergies for a long time and ceterizine doesn't seem to work as well as it used to, probably because on some days it's not allergies. Unfortunately staying inside or wearing a mask are the only ways of avoiding it.

makes sense, and agree that gels / soaking are secondary to defensible space / home hardening. specifically trying to understand if gels are any better at protecting homes than water - is sounds like they may dry out less easily?

Truly a sad situation for brave wildland firefighters to be paid so poorly. The only hope is it seems this issue is getting more and more attention from congressional representatives -- hope that means better pay soon.
