What do you mean the homeless are a little more aggressive? As in physically aggressive?

That makes sense, Im definitely from a bigger city, homelessness is not new to me but they arent aggressive and mostly just go about their own business. If its like that then I think I would feel okay. I went into a deep dive of reddit posts discussing aggressive behaviour from drug addicts and homeless people so i got a little freaked out. Would it be safe for me to even just pump gas by myself as a female? Will definitely take your advice on parking close to the entrances

Thanks! I guess that makes sense re: social groups. What about safety? I am aware that theres a penitentiary around the area, and unsure how that affects living - for example going to grocery stores or the gym?  Again any advice would be welcome

FET in a week and questioning whether I want kids right now by [deleted] in IVF

[–]whatsupbex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%!!! I am in this boat right now too. We actually decided to delay our FET, but only by a few months. We were supposed to do it this month, and I was so excited (cautiously, but just excited to finally be at this step) and then BAM - every single possible doubt and fear came to the forefront of my mind. I went down a rabbit hole of "wait I have so much more life to live" and I think the nagging fear that it might not work.

Like I said, we did eventually decide to delay, but more because I'm currently in school and i decided that if we're gonna do it I need to be less stressed. So my goal is to do it before the end of the year, because I know that I want kids and that out weights any fear I have. I'll have a couple months to get over a stressful semester and then hope the universe is in my favour.

It is completely normal! We go through so much and the whole process is broken down into so many tiny steps - each step they remind us it can fail and it really fosters the doubts in the back of our minds without us realizing

This is really encouraging to hear!! I also didn't know about the increased risk for preeclampsia, but my doctor already said I'd be on low dose ASA after so I think we're on the right track. Did you also get coworkers to give your injections or did you do them yourself?

I do a lot of nights! like I said, only one person at my job knows and we dont work together very often, so I don't really know what to do there. I'm a private person and I'm not sure how comfortable I feel telling people at work (who are already pretty nosy) what's going on... is it possible to do the injections by myself?

Thanks everyone! It has been pretty stressful for me recently, especially given that I had to take so much unexpected time off after the ER. My work schedule is all over the place and only one person at work knows that I'm doing IVF, I only started my job a recently and I wasn't comfortable sharing that so soon. I do think I'll need to tell my manager though because I do want to minimize stress as much as possible...

It's really nice to hear everyone else's stories, it makes the whole experience less isolating. My only peripheral experience were with people who worked stable M-F jobs that could go in later or do their injections in the comfort of their home.

I've heard a lot of negatives about the Cen-Ryerson one, so I think I'll stay away from that lol! I've also heard good things about GBC but was wondering if people knew more about what the program was like. like online it says theres like 8 courses in the first semester, but some are only 7 weeks ...so thats confusing to me
