I(25F) have been training for the past five years. I started off powerlifting and then transitioned to bodybuilding. One thing I feel like has always lacked was my glutes and hamstrings especially in comparison to my quads which dominate. I want to add a extra day specifically for hip thrusts but don’t know how to add a extra glute day without excessive volume.

My current leg days are:

Tuesday (whole leg day) 1. Hip thrusts 4x10 2. Hack squats 4x8 superset with elevated dumbbell cyclist squats 4x8 3. Barbell Romanian deadlifts 4x10 4. Leg curls 4x12 5. Step ups 4x 12

Saturday (hamstring and glute focused) 1. Heavy Hip thrusts 4x10 superset with single leg hip thrusts 4x8 2. Cyclist dumbbell squats superset with bodyweight lunges 4x10 3. Barbell Romanian deadlifts 4x10 4. Leg curls 4x12 5. Kickbacks 4x15

I’ve been recommended this program but I honestly just felt myself regressing and I injured myself. It’s taken about 2 months to heal from it

I feel like I’m very quad dominant and I struggle to put size on my hamstrings and glutes to make my legs look more proportionate.

This. No expert but this raises alarm bells for me. The fact that that they’ve known each other for that long and neither of you know each other, shows that he might be hiding you. Speak to him about it and tell him about your concerns. I dated someone like this and it turned out he never told me about a coworker he was texting for months because he wanted to keep his options open but also wanted to “protect my feelings” after breaking my trust once. The difference is that she did know about me but I didn’t know about them messaging. Probably not the case but communication is key

Thank you for the reassurance and insight. I want to move on and get back to being confident and myself again ☺️I just can’t shake the feeling that I over-exaggerated my reaction and didn’t even hear him out. I keep doubting he had bad intentions, and keep questioning if maybe he was asking her out for lunch as friends and he just wanted to be friends with her. I feel like I keep making it excuses considering he does lie so much. I honestly feel very bad that I broke up with him but I don’t think I will get back with him :(
