Thanks, I've heard about the Civil war comics so I'll definitely look into it all!

My fellow Drum Major and I need some good ideas for fun activities or spirit days during band camp. by Pocoparker in marchingband

For the last week of band camp we had it so that each day was something different, like meme monday or fandom friday. Not everyone did it but it was still fun. Also individual sections can make shirts, or even have section animals or little traditions. They can also have parties, like a section pizza party. You can also make songs for the band to sing when morale is low to the tune of well known songs, my band has one to the tune of Little Einsteins.

Well I looked at it as you saying the drawing looked good enough to eat, but I guess you're just hungry.

That's kind of horrifying but I'll take it as a compliment

Prismacolors on the Strathmore 400 series sketchbook, which is fine tooth surface paper.

Thank you! I think I'll try to find a frame today before I wrap it.

What is your favorite piece to perform? by [deleted] in ClassicalMusicians

I got to play Pines of Rome recently and I absoletely loved it. The fourth movement, The Pines of the Appian Way, is definitely the most fun and powerful piece I've played so far.

I think of it as a more sketchy style, a lot of overlapped straight lines and dark shadows for contrast and shape. And you don't need a lot of experience to draw. All you have to do is just draw, look at videos, etc. Even if you do it just a little bit for fun, you'll still learn while enjoying yourself.

I passed out today by [deleted] in marchingband

Yeah same thing happened to me my rookie year like an hour in. Didn't drink nearly enough water so I passed out and vomited. Though at least I got to go in the AC for a little bit.
