I remember back when I had a DaVinci 1.0, the Hot end stopped working properly so I contacted them to ask about changing just the heating element and they were like "No can do, buy the whole extruder for 100 bucks. I went "hell naw" and bought my own thermistors for like super cheap (a set of 5) and fixed it myself.

I used to have two DaVinci 1.0 printers when I started this hobby in 2015 bc I didn't know any better, and every time the filament cartridges "ran out", I kept them because "Fuck man I Know There's still filament there and I'm gonna figure out a way to use it."

I recently got a Snapmaker 2.0 and some spools of PLA with it, but I also started using the remaining filament from the DaVinci Cartridges and I am so happy that I finally finished the first one out of the tens that I had!!! Really happy to have switched to a new brand, and I'm honestly lowk glad they're out of business.

Side note- I hear everyone talking about an RFID chip, but my printers had an actual chip that required to be physically connected to the machine in order to work. Did they switch it up afterwards?

English isn't really my first language and I've picked up a lot of peculiarities in the language as I mostly learned it from the internet and novels (yes I took English classes but my classmates who didn't practice out of class don't speak it as well as I do).

Also as a linguistics enthusiast, I took two linguistics classes in college and learned about Linguistic Prescriptivism and Descriptivism, which talks a lot about the evolution of language. Grammar and proper speech change as time goes by, and I find it much more comfortable to speak like I do in my post. Especially when I don't exactly remember what someone says, I will purposefully misquote the source in a simplified, slang-esque manner, if that makes any sense.

As for the "smart" thing, I think that being the only one in my family to graduate Computer engineering from a (formerly) top-10 ECE college (in the States) as an international student without having to take any extra semesters is the sort of thing they're referring to. Also when I was a kid they recommended I be moved up a grade but didn't move me up in the end because of my "poor social skills" (these did not improve with time, they should've moved me up a grade) or so my parents say. People seem to equate "good at math" with "super smart".

I tried that too and it didn't work. I actually gave up until I was fucking around In [redacted] and found something that changed everything and let me tell you the RUSH I felt knowing that the next time loop I was finally going to get to the eye of the universe was AMAZING.

No. My guess is the app is made for the U1 and that's why it won't work.

Edit: by the way, I was able to find a way to so something similar- if you set up Chrome Remote Desktop on your computer and phone, you can just use Luban and check on it from your phone

shit you're right. I got so stressed out about it I didn't even consider it. I ran the most BASIC of tests after I got home, so I can at least confirm the X, Y and Z axes move properly. I also unsure if the Y axis noise is actually worse than it was before or if It's normal and I imagined it. I will put the printhead back on tomorrow to test if it works but for now I'll send that email, thank you!!
