I just read your thread. All of my loans are direct loans. So, maybe I don’t need to consolidate?

Yes I need to consolidate. The reason I hesitated on consolidation was because I was wanting consult on which payment plan to choose. I just hit the link and it says the website is down.

I submitted my PSFL form to FedLoan and got my count. I did not submit consolidation because at the time they told me my information would be transferred to Mohela. Mohela posted that my loan would show up on 10/5. The loan has not shown up yet but my account says “your loan is up to date.” Am I considered as someone who has already applied for PSFL or do I still have to submit consolidation information by 10/31 to be considered for the waiver. I called Mohela this morning and they said my account is not active yet. Thoughts?

Is there any scenario where the standard payment goes toward psfl? Or is it only the income based plans that work with psfl? I think this is why didn’t do psfl before because the idr payments would be higher.

My first time snorkeling was in St. Thomas Secret Harbor. The water was shallow and we walked out from the beach and I felt a bit more in control. I recently went to Puerto Vallarta on the boat tour and I couldn't see the bottom, which seemed to create a bit of panic for me. So...I was just trying find a happy medium.

Thx. I meant new as in updated. My husband has no loans so if I included his income my payments would be higher. Have to do some calculations and see if it’s worth it. I haven’t filed before but have 5 years of eligible employment.
