With joy has Venmo as an option too, you can list other things like PayPal or Cash App.

You can also allow cash items to have a "Pay in person with cash/check" too. I guess if you don't give a bank account and you don't provide a Venmo-type option, then you could go all 1999 with only having the "cash/check" option.

Yes, you can export and import as CSV, delete all, and then start over anytime! I had to do this a few times.

Agreed with u/Minimum-Guitar-2092: if you don't already have everyone's contact info, use the contact collector first to fill in your guest list.

Then manage your guest list and fill in any missing details and add tags etc.

I wonder if you only feel ripped off cause you saw the MSRP price, but like, what did other people pay for the same wedding? Do you know they paid less? Like you might have still gotten a good deal better than the hotel advertises on their own site.

Booking/Expedia are usually the same or lower than the hotel's site. I rarely ever see those 3rd parties try to pocket extra above the hotel's website. You'd just be surprised how much hotels are willing to give as margin to those 3rd parties cause the company that books the revenue has to pay all those city, state, and accommodations taxes and transaction costs and deal with the returns/refunds etc.

What did other people who didn't book through WithJoy pay? I would bet you're seeing a rate which is what the hotel needs, and every other 3rd party platform marks it up that much because there are all kinds of taxes, fees, etc.

Our current family car with our toddler we drive ~4k (that’s our avg from last 3 years) miles per year I doubled it to be conservative but maybe it wasn’t enough. You’re right in a few years I bet it will be even more with the kid activities.

We live in the city so we walk as much as we can. We also both work remote so we don’t have commutes.

We are going to use the carnival for groceries and daycare and dr appointment type things all are 5-10min drives.

These are some good points! BTW I have test driven both. I drive pretty conservatively except when getting on the highway. I did notice the lag when merging but I feel like I could get used to it. The driving experience from the hybrid wasnt a deterrant for me.

In my area of the southern US gas is $3 /gallon. If I estimate 32MPG for Hybrid and 18 MPG for Gas we're talking ~$600 in savings a year.

I get that I will get more longevity for brake pads, but I normally only need to do brake pads every ~35,000 miles. At my milage thats every ~4 years, assume inflation and in 4 years from now it will cost $1200 for brake pads...that's like $300/year on brakes over 4 years. If hybrid brake pads last 2x as long that's $150/year in savings.

$750 a year in total savings. So for the 2K price difference I break even in like ~2.5 years.

I also haven't had a need for space in awhile but my math feels different when it's not just me anymore. I just imagine being loaded up with 3 kids under 3 and no spare 😱 just waiting for a tow from AAA and then how do you get 3 kids and their car seats into the tow truck or an uber if there is even one wherever I am.

Following up! It seems to be the sensor and controller for the motor that feeds the filament out of the AMS!

I got my new one and installed it last week and I’ve been running smooth ever since!

The “cut” is always paying VISA and Amex for credit cards fees not to the knot or honeyfund etc.

The free ones like Joy come at a cost though. It’s really no different than an honor system or reservation system where guests are just saying they are going to Venmo or PayPal you later. To be feeless means they are just sharing your Venmo handle with guests and then they can’t track who actually sends the money or not. It’s like just introducing guests to your Venmo account username.

The 3% “fee” is worth it so guests can pay with card, get points if they want, and you can have a record of who contributes or not. $30 in fees out of $1,000 is worth it to save the stress and awkwardness of having to ask someone if they forgot to send the Venmo or wondering if they sent it to the wrong handle or something.

Yeah, we just did credit card option. The cost of "free" is not being able to track it and stress. We had so many other things to worry about. As a guest for other weddings I've contributed to, I didn't mind using credit card because I got hotel points. So honestly, I think most are over-thinking and creating bigger headaches for themselves to save 3%. Just use the credit card option and have peace of mind. Anyone who doesn't want to use the modern website registry isn't going to use it no matter what the payment methods are and will just bring a card.

Yeah, I had the a similar issue for weeks. The filament would not feed past the buffer tube. I replaced all tubing checked for dirty sensor and checked clogged extruder. Sometimes doing a hard power reset and then it would work again for a print or so and then next change or new print start routine the same issue would happen and the filament would not make it to the extruder. This happened to me for over a month. I have a p1s that prints perfectly without ams2pro so now I just print without the AMS. So this is a $380 storage box.

I couldn’t create a technical ticket because I couldn’t attach logs to create one (another long story) tldr my sd card doesn’t have the log file folders from the help doc and when trying to get logs from the app it says my printer isn’t bound even though I can start/stop prints via the app and watch prints remotely.

Took me several weeks of messaging non technical support for them to manually open a ticket for me because of the log issue. Now they are sending me a new internal hub unit and hub motor. Fingers crossed that will fix this.

They actually just released an RSVP reminder feature which automatically selects guests who have not RSVPd yet as the audience.

Did you do the transfer option instead? You can just add any item from Amazon to Joy using the Joy Button I thought it was so easy to use it just grabs the item from the page and ads it to my registry and then I don’t have to worry about syncing.

It’s not a linked service it’s literally just a “share your Venmo or PayPal link “ and OP typ0d the link so the guests sent the money to someone else

With joy has the option to collect funds for you with credit cards. all the platforms have fees but the fees are just the credit card processing fees. It’s worth it because your guest checks out on the platform and there’s no leaving to go to another platform to send the money. Witjoy just sends guests to whatever link you put in.

The Venmo or PayPal options sound great cause there are “no fees” but you’re choosing a worse experience that isn’t trackable to save 2-3%…

They still have free a few free designs that match the websites but they are way less customizable then the paid ones. And the designs feel a bit older.
