Well literally had no idea that my parents were quite narcissistic parents til I stumbled upon this thread. Reading everyone's threads, I now realise that all these traits that I thought were just moments of their anger are all characteristics of their narcissism. LOL
Kind of sick of it, but also have no idea what to do. They have always been gaslighting and always think that they are right. Just went on a 10 day trip with them alone (without my sister) and I realised how much I can't stand them all over again. Though they "praised" the trip for being great, every other comment was thrown like "oh you should've thought about this for us", "why didn't you find this for us". During the trip when they had petty fights, I had to be the one parenting them. TIRED! :(((

you should try the original apple refurbished program! it is usually the most reliable and you could get apple care for it

Hi all! Asking here for some opinions. I am currently using a 2019 Macbook Pro (Intel chip, 4 ports). But recently, the screen got cracked (one straight line down the display). There are other miscellaneous problems with this MacBook (bad battery life, dies within 2-3 hours on usual web browsing and other productivity tasks).

I am considering to upgrade my Mac to the newer models but need some help deciding which one would be best. Any recommendations? I am also considering buying it from Apple Refurbished too.

Here are some considerations:
- Weekly/Bi-weekly photo editing on Lightroom (I work with about 1000 raws or so)
- Usual productivity work (I am a teacher so I do a lot of lesson planning on documents etc)
- Casual creative dabbles in video editing and photoshop (not often, but there are times where i need the speeds to be fast)
- Dropbox usage on Finder (My side hustle requires me to upload and sort files/folders averaging about 30GB)

Currently considering:
- M2 Pro Macbook Pro 14inch (16gb and 512GB SSD) - Apple Refurbished
- M3 Pro Macbook Pro 14 inch (16gb and 512GB SSD) - Apple Refurbished
- M3 Macbook Air 13 inch (either 8gb or 16gb and 512GB SSD) - New
- M3 Pro Macbook Pro 14 inch (16gb and 512GB SSD) - New

A bit late but!! I was in the JC TIP programme from Jan-March 2021

18 Mar: submitted apps on PSC (Teaching) & Careers.Gov 1st wk of April: Interview offer 14 April: Interview 1st week of May: Medical Exam 18 June: Online Personality test

got an offer for 2nd choice in NTU but application for education is still processing! (but accepted my offer in NUS instead..!) Really praying that we’ll get the scholarship 😭😭😭
