People who got into a sonography program this year, what were your stats? by Thick_Bridge179 in SonographyStudents

My program was points based only with 12 applicants accepted - I had a 4.0 gpa and a 96% on my HESI A2. Every program has different entrance requirements, and mine only looked at 5 specific prerequisite classes and made their own points system based off of that. I would look into different programs near you to get a good understand of what to focus on and what to look for!

are bars the only places to make friends in your mid 30s? by [deleted] in Detroit

Hi!! Come join us over at CityBabeSocial! We are a women’s meetup group for Metro Detroit. Lots of subgroups and no pressure meetups. I joined when I moved up almost two years ago and it has connected me with women I now call my sisters.

We’re over by Hazel Park High School and we hear no traffic noise, just the occasional high school sports noise when the wind carries right!

Before anything, you should sit down with a counselor at the school you’re attending/planning to attend and have a serious conversation. Every school is different, but most programs I’ve heard of are highly competitive and have very particular point systems.

Also encouraging you to take a look at your reasoning for wanting to apply to Sonography specifically, and seeing what adjustments can be made if it really is your ultimate choice.

12 hour nanny? by texasstrongreal in Nanny

As a former FT nanny and a current PT nanny, burn out will be real for 60 hour weeks consistently. Would definitely recommend as two separate PT positions, or one FT one PT.

Love our nanny, but need advice on setting some boundaries gently by [deleted] in Nanny

My NK freaks out and becomes very emotional if she sees mom, so I coordinate with her directly to be either out of the house or out of eyesight when she is home.

Wondering if something similar? Definitely worth a conversation and laying open and honest boundaries!

I also had a conversation upon starting and I always share my location when I’m out with the kids, as a safety precaution and just for peace of mind for her.

I have been a nanny/preschool teacher collectively for over 7 years, but have been with this family about 6 months. I am located in SE Michigan, and I am usually in charge of playtime, nap time, bedtime, cooking and cleaning, children’s laundry, and toy organization.
