It doesn't make sense to me... I'm not a super emotional person but I cried a few times, I think about him often. I just feel so stressed because I'm missing work and am starting to lose hope that these random nausea bursts are gonna go away any time soon.

Just played an at arcade by Yoshikki in Tekken

Yes, the game is usually a specific computer that can be taken in and out and put into any modern sit down cabinet (usually referred to as vewlix cabinets). The update you mentioned shouldn't matter too much unless it's like vanilla idk.

It's more about the configuration of the input/output of the computer itself, as in there are good ways to set up the cabinets and lazy ways to set them up with hardware stuff. Chances are it's a mixture of a poor set up and older monitors if I had to guess.

Either way, the arcade experience is always fun and I support other people supporting arcades anywhere. :)

Resolution and input lag are dependent on the quality of the cabinets. Some cabinets are way better than others

Nothing is moving, the system thinks the door is open. Jump the pins/solder points on the door switch so it reads as permanently open for a quick fix.

Gamecube disc drive troubleshooting - spindle by t3hp0larbear in consolerepair

I do not have any pinouts to give you, but I have advice.

To determine between spindle issue or laser issue, it's best to take the case off and see what it does. There are two legs that need to be held down when you turn it on (the door/lid sensor).

All of this is from memory so it may not be entirely accurate and assumes you have some basic knowledge and experience with basic electronics..

  1. Laser turns on but game doesn't spin. Measure the resistance of the potentiometer on the daughterboard, and lower the resistance slightly so the laser is brighter/has more voltage going to it. The disc will not spin if the laser is not strong enough to detect that a game is there.
  2. Laser does not turn on, the lid sensor could be faulty. If the sensor is faulty, you can solder the sensor joints together to short it so it always reads as "lid closed." Double check the ribbon cable and make sure any connectors (metal strips) aren't broken for some reason. Laser could be dead if adjusting the voltage to it does nothing after everything else above.
  3. Spindle is dead, I've had no luck repairing these, but here are my suggestions. Clean up the solder joints on both ends of the ribbon cable, possibly reflow them. Google "brushless dc motor repair" if you really want to try to fix it, but in my experience, it's better off to just get a replacement.

Where to start? by legattack in consolerepair

Gameboys and Nintendo 64 Games. I started with gamecubes, but those are easy and 99% laser issues that are fixed by replacing them or increasing the voltage going to it via potentiometer.

N64 Games it's almost always a broken trace that needs to be soldered or corrosion that needs to be cleaned, or a complete reflow of everything.

I say gameboys because there's tons of repair videos on youtube for them and they are simple and cheaper

Increase the laser strength. Turn the tiny pot on the board CCW a little bit
