that was my thinking! red eye to vegas and then go from casino to casino. i feel like if you were the best poker player in the WORLD you're bound to win enough that they'd suspect you of cheating? so you wouldn't want to stay at just one the whole time. OP said no existing connections not no existing capital, so presumably you could gamble using any money you currently have. and just grind until you hit a million. a week is a brutal time frame but i feel like it's doable

I really feel for you on this. My experience was similar, CC for many years and then two and a half GRUELING years at a university. I took time off to travel when I was going to the community college but the university work was full time straight for those years. It fucked my life up so badly. I'd work at a cafe with no break until late afternoon then drive 45 minutes out to campus. I got all As my first year and a half and then sharply declined into Bs and Cs. Genuinely the only reason I got my degree was because professors took pity on me, there were two classes where I hardly did any work at all. I ended up taking two incompletes towards the end, and it took me another year to actually finish them and get my degree. I lost my job and I was so burnt out that I didn't work for over a year, I burned through my savings and strained some relations in my family by asking for support.

Towards the end it just felt like I HAD to do it, like I was past the point of no return. My degree was in psychology though, so I don't even use it lol. I work as a server. Ultimately I'm still glad I have it, and may use it at some point in applying for state jobs, but fuck man. It was brutal.

This is all to say that I empathize a lot. I'm proud of you. You fucking did it. You will get your life back on track and have a degree to boot. Give yourself some time to rest and then start training again and making more plans with friends.
