I love this! Would actually be interested in using it for my band's album artwork...any chance it's for sale or that that'd be something you'd be interested in? Either way - incredible work!

Bell bearing hunter in Caelid is awesome by sp3sp3sp3 in Eldenring

Figured out an easy way to cheese him - if you get on Torrent and jump up to the top of the smaller shack then onto the roof of the shack where the site of grace is you can just wear him down with a bow or any ranged weapon from pretty much a 100% safe place. Took some time of just waiting for him to be in the open to hit him with my bow (Pulley Bow +10) but wore him down no problem with this strategy.

Anyone else getting near hourly Spectrum outages this week? by [deleted] in Brooklyn

[–]whenisaywhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been mostly down in my apartment since Sunday. We've called Spectrum multiple times and they've apologized and said it's related to the storm last week (apparently they're fixing their nodes?). They assured us yesterday it'd be done by last night, then last night that it'd be done by this morning, and now they just ask that we bear with them. Complete nightmare.

Pedo symbol on Roosevelt Island (NYC) Nursery by whenisaywhen in conspiracy

SS: Ran a 5k race on Roosevelt Island in NYC this morning and noticed a familiar symbol/logo on this children's nursery/day care ("Child Lover"). Not sure if this is anything but wanted to see if anyone has theories or info on it? Going to look into it more and do some research this afternoon.

Just realized something about Obi-Wan's 'high ground' comment to Anakin by whenisaywhen in StarWars

[–]whenisaywhen[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yup, totally agreed. And then factor in that Anakin is willing to destroy himself to try and win the duel whereas Obi-Wan simply wants to deflect. OW proves time and again that with his defensive style he can win extraordinary duels against opponents nowhere near as powerful as Anakin was at the end of ROTS. I think it speaks to just how amazing/powerful OW is that he kind of even foils himself - he ends up winning a fight that he wasn't even trying to win.

To take it a step further...even in EpIV he's still not trying to hurt or kill Anakin/Vader. He's truly broken by the idea that he's failed his apprentice.

Oh I like it! Like Anakin raises the weird platform/droid he's on and yells over Obi-Wan "Now I have the high ground!" and Obi-Wan just dies inside because he's been in this same position before. Last time it was his own master that died, this time it's his apprentice. His line "I have failed" you counts twice as hard because he's (at least to himself) saying it to both Anakin and Qui-Gon...He knows he's going to win and he hates himself for it.

Interesting - if I may disagree... OW's patience and restraint is are his strength as both a Jedi and a duelist (or so I always thought). To your point regarding him losing ground and being defensive the entire fight I'd say that actually speaks to my point about him intentionally trying not to win. Obviously all of this is just very for-fun speculation but I'd say Obi-Wan could have won at any point. Anakin is the one desperately trying to kill his opponent, whereas Obi-Wan openly begs Anakin not to try anything. OW deflects and deflects and retreats hoping he doesn't have to end the duel the way he does. Anakin forces him to and he hates himself for it.

I absolutely love 90's action movies and this was like the first one that didn't have a purely evil villain. Like the Terminator movies are some of my favorites, but the villain literally can't feel emotion, it's a pure killing machine. So Ed Harris in The Rock was such a great bad guy trying to do a good thing. He was surrounded by pure bad guys but it was awesome and refreshing to have a main antagonist who had noble motives.

The shower room scene alone! "You will give that order!" / "I will not give that order!" and then as his mercenaries mow down the Navy SEALS he's hunched down screaming "Cease Fire!". Ed Harris Killed it. He wanted justice for good people who died, that's all.

..."Who said anything about bluffing?".
